@@edubogota1 You say they closed the border which is interesting. I did not see it but they told us that a lot of the border is very porous because it is through forest and the actual border is just marked by red poles. The locals (Norwegian and Russian) were allowed to cross freely and often did. Many Russians did their shopping in Kirkenes (Norway) and I noticed the street signs were in both Russian and Norwegian. My wife and I are going again next February (2024) so I wonder what things will be like then.

First of all, your winning a lot of guys (and some girls) hearts with your humor, beauty and personality. But the icing on the cake for me was 5:49 ... Pineapple Pizza IS a sin! I thought that debate was only happening in the US. Second of all, at the end you mentioned about how you would miss Russia and that Russia just feels like home. I can relate. When I was your age or a little older (early and mid 20's), I really wanted to move. I live in Chicago and liked the idea of California or Europe. I really hate the cold in Chicago, love California weather, and love how European cities have so much to see and do. But the more I started looking into it and imagining moving, even moving just for a couple years, the more I realized that Chicago just feels like home and would be hard to give up. It's not just that I am very familiar with the city and area but also my family and friends are here. I was also use to certain ways of living from television, culture, businesses/restaurants, etc. This was probably 12 years ago and today the world is far more connected with zoom, access to tv anywhere, etc. If i was 22-25 today, I might make that move given how much easier it is to stay connected with back home. Still a hard choice.

I can bet many russians that had to leave so they don't get mobilized just have to live with the fact that they are not going back. As an American, I'd like to apologize for our country's involvement in goading Russia into the war. Frankly, I don't believe they had a choice. It's no different than the Cuban missile crisis was for us in the 80s, except if Cuba were located in Pennsylvania and not a ways off the Florida coast.

All Russia needed some ironclad assurances that Ukraine would not be allowed to join NATO and have NATO back off a bit with its missiles. Trump would have worked this out through negotiation and diplomacy before the invasion into Ukraine happened in the first place. Biden is a fool and a puppet, as all the world already knows. Also saying this as an American.

Great video. Why am I not surprised at your decision to return? I have a funny story about overly attractive passport photos. When my wife's daughter immigrated to the USA from Russia a number of years ago, she had to go to the US Consulate in Moscow for a visa interview. I had seen her passport photo by email beforehand and thought (1) she was strikingly beautiful and (2) that the photo conformed to all the official requirements - there was no makeup, for example. So when I asked my wife how the interview went after it was done, I almost fell off my chair when she said the consular officer told her daughter: "This picture is too good. You need to leave the consulate and go to a store and come back with new pictures." She got the visa, but I wonder if the officer had some kind of "arrangement" with the store.

I have other Russian friends who went to Georgia, whiles others traveled. Some have since returned to Russia with a brand new perspective. There is lots of mistrust in the world today. It used to be, others would be curious about foreign travelers in their countries. Once I met a Romanian in my little town on the West Coast of America. I have other Romanian friends and recognized his accent, dress, and mannerisms. I asked him where in Romania he was from. He told me and I said I know that town, and someday will visit. I mentioned this to others friends in Romania and they said pack a bag and come. Their home is always open to friends regardless where they travel from.

According to what I am hearing Turkey is even more expensive than Georgia. Home is always home no matter how bad it is. I remember going past my one grandparent's house after they passed on and their house was sold. The neighborhood was in shambles and their house was in terrible condition. The plants in the area and economy had long since closed and they too were left to fall apart and rust away. I used to drive past them too. ( I drive past one plant/company in a near by city that my mileage indicator said was 10 miles [16 km] long and 3 [4.8 km] miles wide) I remembered visiting the plants when I was was in community college and even my dad's plant and seeing them alive with workers and activity. They are now dormant and lifeless shells Some houses were left abandoned and others were burned by vandels or for insurance money. Yet it was familiar and had a comfort to it. It was my in my mind a favorite and comfortable place to visit because I remembered it for what it was and not for what it had become. As the years went by I finally stopped visiting their neighborhood and driving by their house because I become afraid of the new occupants of what was their neighborhood. I realized that what was their my grandparent's house and their neighborhood had died and resurrected it self as something entirely different than what was. In a few more years I moved far away from what was my parent's and the grandfather's house. I buried the old memories from my memory because the memories and reality of what was and what it had become was too painful to revisit. Somehow, although your situation is different, Agent Nesty, I get the feeling that you are slowly starting to travel the same road that I had in my life.

That stare down is an old customs officer trick. They just do it to make people nervous and wait for someone to give themselves away. If you felt nervous, imagine someone really trying something illegal.... which is why they do it. They probably did it because you were young.

That is not enough. You need passports for each possible situation: One with picture not slept before for hours to be used for stressful trips, one just after met your boyfriend for honeymoon trips, one stylish for business trips and one after massage for relaxed holiday trip. That makes travelling so expensive: You have to spend millions for your proper documents.
