Just wanted to say that it's so refreshing to find a you tube channel on thrifting that's not all about reselling. I enjoy watching someone shop to find bargains because they enjoy being able to add to a collection or their home decor or give a gift to a friend or loved one without going into debt. Not that there's anything essentially wrong with reselling to help pay the bills and such but the way many of them go about it sort of puts me off. One video I just watched was sort of a tutorial on how he could dupe the person having a sale into thinking he was interested in them and the history of whatever vintage item they were selling when all along he was just thinking of how much more money he could make selling the item on eBay if he could convince the seller to lower the price. Ugh! Anyway, keep doing what you're doing...I love it!

I'm glad I found your channel! It's so refreshing to see someone thrift for themselves and family without the intent of reselling. Goodwill, Salvation Army and other thrift stores have caught on and began raising their prices. Thrifting is all about the fun of finding things for your home in an affordable manner. Thanks again!!

I binge watch your videos all the time. I love your channel and I really like that when you are shopping you show us everything. You know we like seeing the bottom of items for markings etc. you are so sweet Your family is precious. I live in greater Houston area I want to shop at this store in this video. There were a lot of things I saw that I like. There is another channel I watch in Houston area (Lady Mary Beth). I appreciate all you guys do to bring joy to our lives. The grandkids will love their toys. The moose is a massager but will a grate toy for hours and hours. Grate organiser for your hubby. Love that straw purse. For the beach you need a zipper bag for shure. Whut 4.99 for the cute hat. clean it, dry it, done... Here they are expensive!

Great haul! I gasped when I saw that rolling pin! I have been on the hunt for some or even just one for awhile! Eventually, I will find one. I read somewhere that the red handles are truly vintage! Loved the hat and the purse! I could use that hat when I’m gardening as well!

I work in a retail store, it's likely why there is a lack of furniture is because for months the store departments have been delayed getting items, including furniture, into the country because reopening the ports have been a nightmare and some countries are still trying to reopen after lockdown. There is also a rise in price of wood because last year most of everyone kept themselves occupied by doing a renovation project, that is likely to contribute with the lack of furniture as well as raising the prices, especially if wood production was put on halt.

I have the same wooden caddy. I use it for plastic cutlery and paper plates for summer bistro dining 😎

Great finds as always....I love having a little lamp in the kitchen, hope it fits!😀

Hi Julie! It was so funny running into your family in the store. As you put it "You never know what you're going to find", in this case it was family lol! I liked the red basket the rabbits. The picnic basket did have a price tag, it was on the inside on one of the walls. I saw it right before you closed it. Hope you enjoyed/will enjoy your beach trip and pet Piper for me!

The organizer you found for your hubby is very nice and a good idea, especially since it zips- no worries about things falling out. Would also be good to use something like this when traveling. My sister and I often travel together and take a folder with ink pens, a note pad, a calculator (she likes to track mileage) printed out directions, rental car info.. hotel booking info., map, etc. We don't like to rely solely on GPS as we have run into places with a "dead" zone. Love your straw purse it will be a perfect beach tote.

I absolutely love your videos. I like it that you explain what the item is or if you’re not sure you ask us if we know what it is. I always feel like you have given me so much information after each video and I truly appreciate it I had to chuckle when you said that your whole family was going to go to the beach and stay in the same place and you said pray for us. Yes I do use thermos to decorate for late fall and winter. I'm not sure it very old may 70s or 80's older thermos have a metal bottom trim Oh the kids items are great I always have board games around for the grandkids.

Yes, I’ve seen a lot of people purchasing vintage thermos. That not my style, but I have seen some cute vignettes. As usual, lived joe you styled your items and oddly enough, my husband ALSO carries his “notebook” around, and the kids and I have always made fun. That’s a nice one. Our Goodwill has very little furniture. Mainly cheap desks and chairs. Usually they have sofas, cabinets, stuffed chairs and bookcases. Our hangs up linens except for groupings that are in large bags with info labels on it. They put their toys in back area near furniture. They do not have a room like yours. They took the racks off the clothing fixtures where they toys used to be. Racks are still on top of other racks on north end of store where adult clothing is kept.

Hello, Julie. I just subscribed today. Love your style! I'm up in the frozen Mitten State of Michigan. You asked if other areas thrift stores were sparse on furniture, and I can tell you that it's sparse here too. Even after lockdown, when the stores opened again, there was a bad shortage of workers...still is, and getting worse. The thrift stores had to turn down donations for lack of manpower, and also, because there was the concern that donations coming from homes of the unfortunate fatalities of the pandemic might be contaminated. This was because nobody seemed to be sure how the virus was transmitted, so I can understand why people were worried. By the way, your little moose IS a back massager, but we all know that kids will make a toy of anything that tickles their fancy. Best wishes from a snowbird fan.

I always use some kind of utensil to dig around in those bins. I agree all those knives and sharp edge items give me some worry too.

I make the melt and pour soaps in those silicone molds all you do is in a pyrex measuring cup melt the soap from the craft shop in the micro then pour ... such fun
