Hair update! 2 months later and my hair is still in the process of fading, I've never had a semi permanent dye last me this long im SHOOK! also the fading process of these two colors together is UH-MAZING, literally loved each color that it faded to every time i washed my hair. Here's how the fading process went for me: first 2 weeks: color faded into a less bolder purple, but STILL very purple 3rd week/4th week: color faded into a more lilac/pastel purple 5th-6th week: color turns into more of a mauve pink 7th-8th week: color faded into a dusty rose shade now: hair is now pastel pink If you want to see how the color looked while they were fading u can go on my instagram @lesliearellaano or @makeupwles and see, I dont have pictures for every week but I have a few on there so you can see just for preference! (I know a follow up video would be so much better but a bitch is lazy LMAO IM SORRY YALL)

I loved the tone of the purple. Can you describe what your prior hair color was... was it toned.? Did the toner help reduce the vibrancy of the dye because I like the shade you have and I want to avoid neon and vibrant colors.

so i just did this mix exactly like you did but not as planned out and my hair is a smidge lighter than yours in the beginning. I'm so scared but hoping itll be as cute as yours.

I think you needed just a touch of blue to get your desired result. I think I'll try Purple Rain and just a tiny amount of Transylvania :)

Jocelynn C thank you! and i recently just redyed (literally last night bc i was bored LOL) so it’s back to the bold purple color that it was like from the beginning of the video BUT before that it was faded into a more lilac w/ a hint of pink color. I did my hair February 23 and it lasted the whole month of March, if I didn’t redye it I’m pretty sure the color would’ve still been good throughout April bc purple rain is super pigmented!! I’m sure the color will fade faster if you shampoo your hair more than twice a week,i only wash my hair 1-2 times a week and the purple never budged so that mightve played a role on how it faded so slowly. If you’re worried about it not fading, try adding a little less purple rain. And if it still isn’t faded by the time you go back to work then a bleach bath with a low vol developer should do the trick! hope this helps 💕

I dont particularly use any product on my hair to add shine but I do like applying paul mitchell super skinny serum on my hair before blowdrying/hairstyling, it reduces drying time, smooths and gives the hair a silky look!

I pinned a comment for more details of the fading process☺️ i wasn’t patient enough to let it fade completely LOL i was 2 months in and the color was still there so i decided to put gray on top of It instead, but no it never made my hair brassy during the fading process!
