    I hardly ever comment on stuff. But those big dog sand rail owners were top notch. Super humble, knowledgeable, and seemed super down to earth. Most people in any scene that have the baddest stuff are tough to be around. Those guys need to get on YT asap.

    Many years ago, on my one trip to Glamis, I watched a Marine Corps Huey land near the ice cream truck that was driving through the camping area. A bunch of marines piled out of the chopper bought ice cream, loaded up, and flew away. @@gsp911

    The sandrail wheelies are cool! Put a skid plate on the back and you wont be dragging your harmonic balancer through the sand, tearing up the belt. Then you could add rudders hooked up to the steering...

    My family has been building custom VW bug bodied sand rail cars for years and they figured out that a square hole cut in the floorboards with a plexiglass panel over it makes doing wheelies much more fun! They also had independent breaking for each rear tire so they could control it that much more while in the air!

    That particular car is around the ballpark of a half a million I believe. There is a few other heavy hitters out in glamis with multiple cars as well. 1badtoyfactory just built a new car that’s sequential but also can turn into a paddle shifter car. The entire transmission housing is made of billet. I talked to the guy at the sand sport show who did all the machine work for it. Told me the car cost roughly $750,000.

    Best of both worlds, I bet the versatility of a big horsepower buggy similar to Blake’s would fun for Cleetus. He did well in the stadium trucks, maybe Robby Gordon, Blake, or even Vaughn could invite him out to do some more desert stuff.
