I ordered them on "door dash", and I got the oxtail with butter beans/ fried cabbage and jerk chicken with beans and rice!😋

I think people don’t realize how good Jamaican food is. It has so much flavour and those plantains are the best. I could eat a whole bucket of those. very nice that you went back and told her. You probably made her day.

Gotta say at first when you were talking to her waiting for your food she seemed kind of like she felt a little defeated. Like she needed to hear that she was doing something right. So the fact that you went all the way back to tell her how good her food was you could tell it lifted her spirits (when she said about leaving a review she sounded like she was a little giddy). You made her day and lifted her chin, that's always a beautiful day.

She sounded so sad when she said “I know” after you mentioned it was quiet in there. I hope the exposure on social media will bring her a flood of new customers!

I think it's so very important to give shout outs and even telling the staff the good stuff. Too many people ficus on letting everyone the bad experiences they forget to do the same for good experiences. Way to go Ashley.

The “seasoning” clove/ star anise taste is all spice. We Jamaicans 🇯🇲 call it pimento. I’m just so proud to live in the Toledo area. This is the second one of my favorite joints you’ve been to in the past couple of months, and they’ve both been da bomb food. But One Love on Central Ave is dear to my heart 🖤💚💛 Thank you, Ashley! As a person that was involved in starting a small business and having to depend on door dash and stuff to get business (in a kinda small town).. she is so right. We are successful now, several years later, and the feedback and reviews mean the world to the person in that position. That was so sweet and kind of you to let her know, and in person as well. I've also eaten a whole fish in the car, right down to the eyeballs 👀 At some Asian markets, you can pick out any fish and they will clean, prep, and fry the whole thing for you!

I went to Jamaica in November with my family and I had this dish. It was literally one of the best things I had too it was amazing. Jamaican people are literally the kindest and most beautiful people i have ever met. I can't wait to go back. 🥰

West Indian people marinate their fish and meats for a couple to a few days, so it's flavors throughout. The flavor is in every bite.😅
