The carrots give the cake a sweet, spicy, moist finish, loads of grated carrot go in... Same effect with parsnips!! 😋

I've been holidaying in Gairloch since I was a wee boy in the 70s. It's a wee hidden gem that everyone knows about. If you go left when you leave the coffee shop car park it takes you out along the coast to, possibly, the best campsite in the whole of the UK, Sands Caravan and camping. Amazing facilities, beach and restaurant all on site. Worth paying to stay, even for one night.

I make carrot cake and yes it has loads of grated carrots in it. Carrots are loaded with sugar.🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕🍰🍰🍰

Love it when there's a new episode of your adventure on a Sunday night, sets me up for the week planning to get out in the lakes for a hike after work. Roasted carrot is gonna taste very sweet baked in a cake with sugar in too, that's why it's so good. Looks like you got good weather for the next episode, can't wait to see.

Loving the series so far the scenery magnificent. Carrot cake dose have real carrots in it you grate about three of four carrots depending on size. Can't wait for the next episode.

Try doing it four times, in the depths of winter and the height of summer, twice in each direction. It dont start til you get to bettyhill.

Yep carrot cake has lots of grated raw carrot, natural sugars combined with flour and egg, sugar so you don't really notice the grated carrot, very delicious, what fabulous places you get to.

Done the Nc500 before here… lovely… but… not a patch on the islands bro 🙏

Carrot cakes is grated into the cake mate looked a nice decent peace but must be eaton preferably right away once baked/cooked.
