Today I finished an A/C repair to my grandsons car including a rebuilt compressor, new dryer/filter and new condenser. I bought Harbor Freight gauges and vacuum pump . I’ve never done A/C work before. I watched many KZread videos and jumped in. The car is now blowing COLD air. My point is , Matt, that we appreciate the time you take to video and share your project information with us knuckledraggers. From what I researched, my efforts saved about a grand. I spent $500 for parts, refrigerant, oil, o rings...tools. I’ve enjoyed your Tahoe fix up . Dave Heitman Semper Fidelis.
Last time I was this early the LSX was still stock
Dude! That opening clip had me laughing SO hard!!!!
Seeing you not use the strap is like 'aaaaaaaaaaAAAA' shoulda made it work xD
I made a similar mistake putting the transmission and transfer case into my Wrangler. What I found is using an impact to lower the jack gives the screw under the jack that does the lifting momentum. With the impact wrench there is nothing to keep it from freely spinning so once you get that screw spinning at a higher RPM and keep in mind I did the same thing and just gave my jack a couple quick pops with my impact the weight of the transmission keeps the screw spinning, since the impact wrench has nothing to stop the screw from spinning the whole thing will come crashing down. I ended up with a nice hole on my transfer case where it hit the transmission jack when everything slammed to the bottom. After looking the manual states in big bold letters " DO NOT USE AN IMPACT WRENCH" It was a lesson I learned, I now have a hole in my transfer case to fix and a broken finger. Hopefully this will help somebody getting ready to use this jack, while it's more work and it can be a bit tedious do not use an impact wrench you run a very high risk of getting hurt, or damaging your transmission!
That trans dropping like that had me in Homer Simpson D'OH! mode! BTW, Good meeting you the other day in Auto Zone!
Just saw you and trans am earlier today while I was walking home, car looks so much better in person
Transmission needs alignment pulling to the right lol
Beginning had me rollin lol
This just answered my question about quick jacks being high enough for trans removal.
Did the same damn thing trying to get our t56 in the race car on jack stands, damn heavy things.
The blue and black checkered accent on the wall looks good man.
The hydraulic harbor freight is nice, but my t56 can barely get out from under the car when it's on race ramps. It hits in places but it's workable.
Make a video about what the top 10 best 3rd gen upgrades are
Get an adjustable belt with a buckle, old school seat belt works so good for that
Well at least the muffler didnt drop and hit you in the cojones like it did me one time 😆. Great vid dude!
I accidentally dropped a old school powerglide and when I put it in the shifts are really rough. Did I mess anything up with the fall or is it just old and need a rebuild ? Also it was sitting for a bit
I like this content - its so usefull and helpfull.
I have never done that... the best part is wresling the transmission back on to the jack...
Omg 😮 glad you weren’t hurt I would’ve saved you though 😍 be careful 🥰
