    One of the most beautiful drives we’ve had on this channel, for sure! By the way, the video that is on InsideEVs is very complimentary to this one and should probably be watched first as it’s a *full* tour of this thing. I’ll link to it here. Curious what you all think. ID.4 or Q4 e-tron? To me, the ID.4 has a ton of character where this feels like it’s trying to be serious.     In Canada the Q4 is a lot more expensive than the ID4 AWD, in Canada Audi are bringing the all wheel drives only. But the real problem is that the ID4 is priced under the 45000 (base msrp) limit of federal incentive .The ID4 AWD-S is 58000CAD -11500CAD in Quebec but the Audi AWD(base) is 60000CAD -7000CAD(quebec only), the other trims have no rebates and the base trim is actually worst than the ID.4 So the Technik(big trim) is 68000CAD no incentive Easy choice for me. I locked an ID4 AWD-S 2 months ago and I wont be changing that (delivery in 1 year.....) I believe you can put the ID4 AWD in traction mode and both motors are always on, you need to try this :) **edit: ajusted the incentive to show the price before taxes

    I like that audi refuses to make their electric cars weird looking. Other than the grill this is a completely normal looking audi suv with a nice interior. No weird alien space ship styling, no minimalist interior with a giant screen sticking out. Just a nicely designed car that happens to be electric. If other manufacturers can follow this i think many people, including myself, will be much more receptive to electric cars. The reason I’m still tentative about them is that every sub $70,000 ev is either absolutely hideous or a minimalist atrocity. This changes that

    I've seen a small handful of ID4's on the road since it went on sale. I am yet to see a Q4 in person, but I can already tell it is better looking, inside and out.

    FYI you crossed 5 national borders. Italy, France, Monaco, France, Monaco, France. The long descending tunnel begins in Monaco, loops mostly thru France, then exits in Monaco. The Ferrari showroom was already back in France so you spent less than a minute in Monaco.

    Good driver! ... Thanks for this great video, Kyle. One of the best car tests I've ever looked at. Ordered our Q4 e-tron 45 (not 50) AWD last week. Not really good- Audi has absolutely no idea when the car will be delivered 🤔. Regards from Germany.

    Excellent. Especially the info on ESC and driving dynamics. The no switchable ESC on rear wheel drive ID4 is complete deal braker for me. Will test drive q4 to see implementation and maybe this will swing me over

    @@kronosaurelius ability to turn off ESC. And hopefully more eager power delivery out of corners with ESC on. I kind of know that ID4 is not a Porsche, but the one i test drove was extremely active in preventively cutting power even in long sweeping corners.

    I loved this video as it gave me driving insights that the other reviews didn’t. Stuff like the regen braking and handling on curvy roads helped curb my anxiety while waiting for my 45 e-tron. Was worried that the 21 inchers would be harsh but I heard none here. Thanks for the lovely scenery too 😊

    Thanks for your detailed review! I’m wondering if in a future video you can talk about how much more regen there is in this dual motor MEB platform (ID4 AWD/GTX). VW has not released any info (at least that I can find) about how much more regen there is at front axle on ID4 AWD/GTX. I know on ID4 RWD there is 0.13g of regen at rear axle, and a total of 0.25g of regen when using brake, then the friction brakes engage. But what I want to know is how much more regen there is at front axle in AWD/GTX. I generally like the VW ID4. The front axle of the vehicle is generally better for braking dynamics vs rear, right? Thanks!

    Hey Kyle. They you for this! The one thing I am really hoping for in the Q4 E-Tron is the adjustable dampers. Do you know if we are getting this in the states as the ID4 does not have it as we perhaps thought? If so under what trim levels if you know.

    I love actually love the predictive regen and have it on permanently. I used to drive a Model S, and it takes some time to get used to. But when you do, you switch seamlessly between coasting and regen. Just apply more/less regen. with the paddles. Or a full 220 kW with the brake pedal. 🙂

    I was in Europe, no one owning big car. The roads are smaller, not liked American roads or highways. No gasoline engines, diesel engines mostly. One litter cost $5.99 Euro. Not fun liked America, big SUV, Trucks, Cars.

    Actually at 15:03 the fat E-tron does have a charge "meter" and range remaining shown in the main instrument cluster. If you want the exact percentage then yes, you need to go down to the menus. But the main screen shows "fuel gage" with 1/4 increments for the state of charge =)

    It looks great, but I wasn't sure I wanted to spend Audi money to get... a HUD, and a few other things. I do WANT the HUD, but... I don't NEED the HUD. :) My ID4 Pro S AWD is wonderfully nice to drive, and pretty dang performant. Always a pleasure to see your enthusiasm though! :)

    Your post shows why VW produces the ID.4, you're one of their customers 😉 The Q4 is for Audi ICE customers who already chose an A3 over a Golf or a Q3 over a T-Roc in the past. Next time, VAG wants them to choose the Q4 over the ID.4.

    @@babelhuber3449 oh certainly. I still appreciate the Audis, but so far I haven’t justified them to myself. I used to drive Jettas, and appreciated the A4. When I got my Golf Alltrack, I appreciated and wanted to Audi Allroad (A4 Allroad) 🤷‍♂️😸 Always a fan, but VWs have been more attainable and good enough.

    Yea BUT - Dealers want $2,500-$3,000 to be on a list for a chance to buy them since a very low production level is expected for the USA. I know I have paid the $2,500. Also, I have been told that there will be a very significant "market adjustment" in the many thousands of dollars. The full-sized e-tron will also have significant a "market adjustment" in 2022 also.

    Wa, I was so excited once I saw this video for Audi e-torn available yesterday. I thought Q4 e-tron is available in US market now, but it is not 😮‍💨 I just posted the comment and hoped there will be Audi e-tron Video couple days ago, and it was uploaded on my birthday! Maybe that means I should get Audi Q4 e-tron instead of model Y😉 Btw, I think Tesla has more power than Audi. Anyway, it is really hard to make the decision.

    This is a great vid. Thanks, Kyle. You have confirmed what I suspected all along, but what the sales drones told me the Audi e-trons don't have, which is lane centering, called Lane Guidance by Audi. Arguing with sales people who don't know what they are selling is so frustrating. What concerns me about this having the same drive train as the VW ID4 is that the brakes "let go" at low speeds on the ID4 that I test drove a couple months ago. That was un-good at best and made it feel like it was going to rear-end the car in front of me.

    Audi provide Lane Departure assistance with the ‘Edition 1’ trim and Vorsprung trim… not sure if that’s the case with the S Line or Sports back trim.

    The Q4 Quatro 50 (basic trim, called premium) is MSRP of $49,990. That does not include delivery charge or taxes. Convenient as state incentive where I live shuts off at above 50K MSRP. I got on the Audi UK site for comparison and "built" a car with very similar specs that, converting pounds to USD would cost about $71,000! That's a really big difference!

    $50K USD shown will be closer to $55K after delivery, license, registration fees, and sales tax. Sales tax is like %8.

    Yeah, like the drums, my XC40 Recharge is on its third set of rotors and pads in 1900 miles due to metal on metal chemical reactions (rust)

    Hi Kyle, Nice review, I am hesitating between This Q4 50 Etron vs a Fully loaded Kia EV6 long-range Awd. I don't see the extra 10-15K Euro benefit from the Audi. Anyway, I will go test drive both. What is your opinion?

    Great video but you mad a big mistake not driving around the Monaco Track. I drove around it in my Jeep Renegade rental which is as far from a performance vehicle as it gets and it was still amazing to drive the track.

    Hey Kyle, While I like this review, it left me wondering if the Q4 e-tron comes with a spare tire or not. Also, any word on a review for a U.S. version? Scouring KZread, it seems like the only Q4 e-tron reviews available are European versions. It would be great to see what the Q4 e-tron looks like for what's available to us Americans. Regardless, I think this review gets me 95% of the information I'm looking for, so thanks!

    So would you pay 10k more for this over an ID4? You mentioned the better sound system, but you need to get the top Q4 etron to get the SONOS system…other than that, I’m not sure it’s worth 10k more just from watching the reviews…thoughts?

    Waw, I've seen dozens of Audi Q4 e-tron reviews but you managed to review it like I've never seen before. Thanks, I enjoyed it! I ordered my Q4 40 e-tron Advanced a couple of weeks ago and, although I was already counting down towards receiving it (March-April 2022 :-( ), you made me look forward even harder. I also did a test drive but for some reason did not test the S-mode. Such a shame! Great stuff!

    I was really excited for this car to arrive, but the lackluster paint options here in the US turned me off. I hate the fact that they seem to only want to make black/white/grey (silver) and then blue is the 'wild' option. Passed on it.
