Hi Aliex. Loved the video. You are very brave. Weather changes can really be a problem in open water like that. I don't know what type of speed controller you were using but a PWM will really prolong the battery life. I have an 80AH lithium battery and have gone out 3 times, running it for 5 and 6 hours at a time (not a constant full speed) and finally on the third outing it died as I was approaching the ramp to leave. Great timing. Just a thought if you weren't using one.

Aliex, I fish a 8600 acre lake, in freshwater. Obviously you're in the ocean. But try a little Tupperware box, put a cpl pieces of paper towel on the bottom. Put your jig heads and regular hooks, and spray a little of WD-40. When you touch or take a hook you need, the saltwater from your fingers won't corrode the hooks. And you can put hooks back if you change them. 🎣🤟🙏

Very fun to watch Aliex thanks for the test boosts my confidence on the eater to rely on that battery

How tall is your seat to be able to fit a 100Ah Amped battery under it! I have the Sportsman 120 PDL and my 100Ah Amped battery won’t fit under my seat though I raised the back of the seat by 2 inches and 1 inch at the front.

Hi Jet, if you can keep the cart in the car do it, if not you can have it in the rear I take a lot of stuff and still have space. Estimating the 60 ah battery will last for 60% of the 100 i say maximum speeed will go for 7.3 miles if you manage it ,like go speed 5-7 i bet you can go at least 11-15 miles on the 60ah now, my advice? Buy the 100ah hour and call it a day, you dont wanna be worrying about power on the water. Don't forget to use coupon to save 5%!!

Well i think ,if your motor uses 7amps on low and 20 on high then on high theoretically it will last 3 hours with a 60ah and on low 6- 8 hours.

Don’t get it twisted ma’am, NOT every outing will take the same juice. You have to take into consideration wind, weight of the boat, and water condition. Yes, you can determine the average, but this is a one day trip… he can go 12miles in one day… and the other day he could very well go 10miles. DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH w/ your OWN SET UP. Stop being lazy or broke.

Back rewatching. Have never run the battery down but I"m not going that many miles. Using that FPV battery that MDL Fishing was touting on his channel. 2ea of the 50 Ah in parallel for 100 AH. Most hours of use have been 4 hours and I have never been below 75% available. Bet i've caught 200 Mangrove snapper under 10". lol 10" is the legal size limit over on the gulf side.

so 80% 9.6m so yes, you can use the 80ah max speed and get 10 miles, go half and get like 25. If you buy amped, use my code! saves you 5%

I have a 100 amp lithium battery on a minn kota 30 lb thrust fished for 7 hours with battery management And mostly use 1-4 speed, 5 to get me out of 10 mph wind and ripple water current . I’m happy I got over 5 hours use. I would be careful cause after 7 hours my battery BMs shut down at 10 volts. If your going to be out there for all day fishing get a 200 amp battery it’s expensive but worth saving your life. Just make sure your battery is 100% charged up. Stay safe and good luck !

@@AliexFolgueira Mine is normal speed setting 1 to 5 click-click type . I fished in land lake sometime s can get very windy and the water current is rough. I might consider getting a 45 lb thrust cuz I have Old town pdl 12 modified for trolling

Is that with constant trolling? Because I used my 100 ah lithium and was out for 5 hours today going against current and my battery only went down to 87 percent from 100.. but I wasnt trolling constantly

This was done in open water, normal conditions lasted for 12.3m i would say windy like 15-20 mph conditions on the 120 it goes about 3.2 mph non stop for 3:15 hours minimum, 10 miles minimum i would say

It's plenty of time for an average day of fishing for sure. The key is not to run the motor at top speed at all time. If you are a regular kayak fishermen, you will not be going to the open seas for hours.. 😁 If you do, than you need a boat 😂 nice video my brother 😎 👍

It's basically 1 Amp draw per pound of thrust at max speed. So if you are maxed out at 4mph and it is a 30lb thrust...you can get just over 3hrs at max speed on a 100ah battery. So about 12 miles at constant max speed on a fully charged 100ah lithium battery.

At max constant speed Yes but if you go at 50% I bet you can get 18 or so but it will take longer of course

Save the gulp bodies you have doesnt matter if they dry out. Then get a gulp in a jar with the fluid. You can out old dried out gulp baits that are still intact and rehydrate them. Be good as new.

I see a lot of people use a 60amp Lithium for lakes and rivers etc. I ended up grabbing the 80amp with charger. I really wanted the 100amp but I know full well the 80amp will last me all day.

The 100ah battery is kinda heavy for lithium, weighted at 26 lbs from the vendor’s specs. Also for $734, there are much better and lighter batteries out there.
