To go more into a ratings based gameplay I recommend "Buttons" instead of "Button Accuracy" for fielding throws to make arm ratings have an impact and since you are using meter maybe experiment with cpu pitch calling when you are pitching.

A good way of putting is, with zone hitting the team would be as good as you are. With this hitting you are as good as the team is.

Adjust the training to batting cages or weight room , that works for me when certain guys are cold change it up and they play better might have to mess with it to find it

For the camera, you could always do custom and lower the view down a little if you’re looking to see the batter and a better view of the strike zone.

changing the sliders a good bit is a possibility to make the game a lot harder and still keep it realistic, another suggestion could be to make the slider change and use zone in games where you jump into critical situations

Ik I feel you I tried this for fun and sometimes when I get good contact they just hit it foul then I come to see they don’t have good contact usually.

Tbh if you switched like, Nelson and Bobby’s numbers and had the same record that probably is a pretty realistic Royals season at that point. Just how the game goes.

any chance you can look at a few prospects that you looked or passed up like the guy the reds took at 2 and the shortstop you passed up later in the draft? you can look at that when everyone finished signing their picks

I think a happy medium between skill and timing hitting would be directional, it would allow you to use the left stick to influence where hits go based on locations and it won’t be so OP where every swing is a HR/Hit.

It also uses a PCI that’s just hidden. Idk how exactly it works in directional but that’s also a way you can be incentivized for getting better players.

Try making the camera catcher, I think it gives the best view for franchise and it makes the 99+ fastballs kinda hitable

Try the wide camera you can see the hitter and it feels better when hitting

I feel you 100% I also turn off zone hitting for franchise. Kind of ruins the point to me just to mash with bad players.

As a Whole, the timing based hitting is clearly the best for the franchise

I agree with the “way too Many good contact swings are foul/bad” I was playing game 7 of the ALCS and made good contact on like 20 swings and scored 1 run the whole game because most of the “good” contact was flyouts

Honest question: Have you ever considered doing a smaller rebuild via March to October, Bengal? It could work similarly to your offseason/realistic rebuilds in Madden on your main channel.

you have the series set up right ratings before user skill in franchise!

In that all star game, Garcia probably got thrown out pushing for a triple, which is why you saw a double

Just a suggestion: turn off the fielding throw meter so it’s not a perfect throw every time based on your skill. Gives more incentive to acquire players with higher fielding and make more/less plays based on their attributes. Love the vids

I personally am able to track where the ball ends up better with zoom over strike zone.

Timing hitting on legend is the only way I can make franchise realistic. I do classic pitching as well just let the ratings do their thing

I don't play the game, but I am curious if its easier or harder for defense to have that timing based throw or if theres a way to make defense more based on ratings as well?

For future reference, I’ve figured out that if you have a player scouted at about 90% or higher, their potential and overall is essentially in the middle of whatever range is listed. So if their potential is 80-90, they’re prolly gonna be an 85 or 86

I think once a game ur allowed to use zone. So we can see good stuff.
