He was great as the red hood, even though it was just his voice you could feel the pain and the anger.

It is always sad to see those individuals that were never taught how to love themselves. They grew up believing they were only alive to take care of those that needed them. It is heartbreaking the amount of people they are and how tough they are. Dean is the mirror image of many.

Yes. I very much agree. I am the same way. :( I don't even know how to put myself first. How to leave people that treat me poorly. I just keep trying to fix everything all the time. I think it's cause I don't feel that I can fix myself. Dean is the same way and I relate to him so much that's why he's my favorite character ever.

tarny11 tbh.......Jensen got A LOT of credit. Think about it, he's already 40 years old and he's been through this series for 13 seasons. His fans show up and get to ask him questions. He even gets to have fun while doing the show. He gets to play the role of Dean Winchester, the alpha male who was raised as a hero that people needed and feels like a REAL properly developed character that everyone loves too. I don't know him outside of supernatural, but I am thankful that he made Dean Winchester possible.

While I was STILL a child, there were a few adults in my life who could see it. They actually said to me “You haven’t even had a chance to BE a CHILD” or “you’ve had to grow up so fast”… I was only 11 when that first started happening, now I’m nearly 40. It still hurts sometimes, but those adults were so kind to me and hugged me and talked to me and listened to me when they could. They don’t live near me anymore but sometimes I’m just dying to jump in the car and drive the 1000+ miles just to ask for one more hug. May seem crazy but when those nearby keep treating you like you’re invisible, how could one want to do anything else?

Jensen Ackles is a great man, knows how to put emotion into his acting

Somehow, it can be very easy to overlook that Dean's going through a hard time but when it's all put together like this, it feels like it should be obvious but I think a lot of us miss it. There were signs ever since the beginning but I feel like we're easily drawn away because we mostly see the issues Sam is having. It's insane how easily a cry for help can be overlooked. Dean is honestly a fantastic character and I'm disappointed in myself for not catching the hints earlier.

Jumped into the fandom 2months ago. When Dean is sad I'm crying. I care about most of the characters and I cried a lot for them too but when Dean is sad it means the bravest guy is broke. He needs our hug and f.cking piece...or at least more piece than what we have since season 4-5 (it's hard to remember when I'm crying XD)

I love the clip with Bobby and Dean like how mad he got when Dean said “at least this way some good will come out of it at least my life will mean something” he really did love those boys

To be honest the amount of pain Dean carry around would put a normal individual permanently on suicide watch.

"I don't matter" "Don't you?" "I couldn't save mom" "I couldn't save Cas" "I can't even save a scared little kid" "Sam keeps trying to fix it but I keep dragging him down." "So I'm not gonna beg okay if it's my time it's my time"

Honestly, out of all the characters in SPN, I see myself in Dean. A person who sees himself as nothing. Always helping others before he helps himself and if he did save himself, and if someone saw his pain, it'll probably be too late.

I always get mad about Dean, because he just beats on his friends, Sam and Cas. He thinks that since he feels bad, he can make everyone feel as bad as himself. Otherwise he's a good character, and I love Jensen, but this needs to stop.

I feel like Dean sacrifices so much for the people he cares about. And a lot of them just take it for granted.

My favorite thing is that cas literally met him for like a minute and he could see through deans entire uncaring persona. He literally walked in and could see dean hurting and struggling when no one else could (at that point) And they say destiel isn’t canon

This is so sad. Sometimes I wish I could give Dean a big hug

Dean is the perfect character. Whenever he's sad or in pain it makes me wanna cry. Even though Dean is a character, we get so attached and want him to be happy and love himself. Dean matters 😩😭

The thing that gets me is his small voice break when he tells Mary 'I never was', because Dean never got to be a kid. He had to grow up so fast, to keep Sam safe. He had to be a father and mother as well as a brother, and its why he puts on the front of being an immature joker at times, despite the pain and suffering he's in. This shows it so well, and you did an excellent job.

Thank you.. I've been trying.. But I'm that one person who tried to make the better if what they have... I got tired of being alone so I stuck with the people who I knew were gonna leave me some day. It hurts but, I'm starting to just get used to being alone. The kids here at my school think there all high and mighty. So, it's really hard for me to find actual friends. Y'know it might be worth finding true friends.. Even when it's hard to do so.

I love how everybody can see his true value but him; even the bad guys are attracted to him and grow even fond of him (Crowley). He can bealive anything bad they say, any criticism they trow at him, but do tell him his actual value and he retreats and disbelieve. How damaged he is for not realizing that many would be lost if he weren't around? That he does matter 😢💔

This is such a beautiful video. I think one of the big reasons I love this show as much as I do is because I relate to Dean in so many ways. Dean is too pure and deserves more love than he gets. For all he does for the people around him, I'd say he deserves a medal.

Chuck should have been slapped. Dean's only issue with his father is that he's practically a child-soldier veteran whose been fighting for decades, only to be let down, more often than not, by the very people he surrounds himself with. Dean thinks he's responsible for all the losses around him, but that isn't true. Sam and Cas are to blame for most of the messes they find themselves in, it's just Dean that has to fix everything, and sometimes his solution, while a solution, has some rather heavy costs that have bitten them in the ass before. But they still needed to be done, which as a soldier, Dean understands. Anyone else notice the commonality between Dean presently and the Archangels back in season 5? They were lost, tired and just wanted it to be over with. Michael was trying to be the good son, doing what his father had asked for, wanted to destroy evil and bring paradise to Earth and all the lost human lives would get to go to heaven. Sound familiar? It's Dean now. It's taken him getting the ever living shit kicked out of him physically and spiritually, but he's there. He's practically the mirror of this 'verse's Michael.
