When you DM a brand, be sure to use proper capitalization, punctuation and grammar. Trust me, it makes a huge difference!

*TIPS* •Reach our to smaller brands, they are more likely to give you products and a promo code •Include statistics, say how many people your posts reach out to, followers and likes •Send a formal email however be quirky, brands really like when you show your personality •Dont write an entire essay, keep it short sweet and down to business •Post your work including the brands products and tag them in it, they are more likely to want to give products to people who actually use their products😊💓 *GOOD LUCK*

Sebina Timm go on their website there will always be customer service mail addresses, look on the packaging of items or even look on their Facebook if they have one

Honestly this is just them telling you you're not big enough between lines, anyways you shouldn't feel bad, this is how PR works, they are who get in contact with big influencers so their products can be seen by many people, not backwards. I'm sure someday when you have more subs, they'll try to reach out. Good luck!

Clickbaity title. Of course they responded they don’t want to lose a customer, but it didn’t work. Not one of them is sending you free anything.

I understand that, I’m not mad about it just pointing it out,but so many in the comments are like; omg they responded it worked I’m gonna try it.....Umm no you’ll just get a thank you for loving our products do you have any questions about anything type of response. After all the reason those brands have a KZread ,Twitter ,Instagram etc to begin with is to interact with customers not to handle PR requests. If they want you for PR, they’ll find you. Just saying.

Cool video! This is definitely a great way to find a brand's contact, but it's also something they won't hook onto. I work closely with this industry and I've found that simply asking to be on their PR list without having substantial proof that you're not just trying to get free stuff is a no-go. I totally get that for video purposes, you had to be short and quick (props to DMing 100 of them). But they want to send things to people who have engagement in their posts, and can guarantee you'll be giving them something in return with the same engagement rate. And if you don't already post content makeup related, then they won't have any interest at all.

Jeffree's list is VERY hard to get onto, one of my favourite artists in a makeup group I'm active in spent a whole year filming every single day and posting every single day plus tags and mentions and ONLY using JStar products - he finally just got on the list

What is the best way to request a collaboration or pr from a small beauty company? I am new to this and willing to learn. I personally love Pat McGrath, Glow Recipe, and Bliss.

I’m doing research on this too lol I love makeup, and would love to do more videos with brand specific products, but of course I’m not rich, and the brands I like are on the higher end side lol this is some great advice!

I said that I would love to be on their PR lists.And they said they are not in to add in their US team and said to let them know if I was from somewhere else.As I am from India I replied them again, saying them the same. Then they replied me again stating to send a mail to an email address. ☺

hey im curious since i see a lot of girls in the coments i have a question :) Lately some fake ig persons have reached me and directed me to some clothing ig pages that say they want to collab.Since im a very suspicious person and dont know someone with experience in this to ask i hope i find someone here to tell me is it worth it?do i really gain followers and discounts?

I tried this like a year ago and too faced responded to me and they said to contact them in 6 months and I waited and then I did but I got no response and it’s been over a year 🤣

Major makeup companies aren't going to give just anybody free PR you have to have a good amount of followers and produce content

would you mind listing the brands that responded? so we can know which may respond.

Laia Villanueva it’s a list companies have of people they send free products to so the person can review the product . Not quite sure but thinking the PR stands for Public Relations.

Neutrogena still gives products to most who DM them! I'm a feeebie/sample hunter.

I had emailed a ton of makeup brands to see if there was any chance on getting PR and didn't have any luck, but at least I had a few responses. The only brand that seemed harsh was TooFaced, their response was that I couldn't be on their PR because of my low subscriber count on social media 😕. But oh well, it is what it is......
