It's a freaking movie with an unbelievable ending.

This is the cutest frickin' thing I've seen in ages. The sound I made when the Barutoad hopped into the house cannot even be described. So fun! It was great to see you do a smaller, creative, fun project instead of a large furniture project (though I'm always in awe of those too!). Why do I suspect this is just the opening salvo in a whole mini-fairy garden?

You defininitely reignited my creative enthusiasm for making silly things! It is SOOO necessary to enjoy oneself, try new and unusual techniques, and to use art for fun! It reminds me of working with about 20 special needs children to build a cardboard gingerbread house, using real sweets. We then put it outside in a small garden and made lots of other things to go around it, including paper cutout and embellished fairies and pipe cleaner insects. Unfortunately, we had to take it in as the squirrels began to eat it. Then we had to destroy it as one pupils kept trying to eat the sweets.....! Dannie, you have inspired me to start working with kids again, after a break of about 5 years and having Long Covid for 3 years. At least I can start in a small way, with a project like this! Thank you so much!

Catherine on Dainty Diaries made a hedgehog house for the one that visits her garden. She has a walled backyard so she also cut an arch in the bottom of her gate so he would have easy access. I think the toad house is great.

Nancy, these are core memories right there. I'm 33 and I still remember the Barbie dresses my grandad made for me. This is not so much about the felt food/dresses/final product, this is about feeling loved and cared for. Family members like you are a dream. She's so lucky to have you, trust me as someone's granddaughter and fellow human. :-)

I started watching this morning, my kids usually don't watch your show with me. But my 11 year old son and 6 year old daughter both sat down with me to watch and thought that the toad house was the coolest thing. Every new masonry spot you showed prompted an "Ooh, I like that" from my kids. We will now be building fairy, toad, and bird houses this summer. Also, we are now watching the Gotham book nook episode, so we will probably be building book nooks, too. It's so difficult to inspire my son to do craft projects, but your show has shown him how cool projects can be.
