So many people over look the fact that the LG V60 supports stylus even on the dual screen. The bamboo ink stylus works great. Search the setting and you'll see it supports a pen

A lot of people think the Quad DAC isn't that good but they continue to use earphones with like 16 ohms. You need more resistance to get the HiFi xp with 32+ ohms or good headphones. Non-audiophiles should not criticize what they don't know.

More ohms doesn't necessarily translate to better quality though. That is also dependent on the headphones. There is also sound signature to take into consideration. Headphones that don't produce much treble will not benefit as much from the higher quality audio since the only difference is in the high end.

Thank you for your review!!! This helped me make my mind on getting this phone last week, was first in store on 'release day' for t mobile actually lol. I own a business and have a CRM that helps me run it, I used to hate having to have to switch in between CRM app and browser/email/etc on a single screen phone. Used to have to always carry a tablet or email with me at all times in case a customer called me and I was on the road. This helps me so much because I can have my CRM open in one screen and browser, email, or anything I need on the other. I no longer need to always have laptop with me to work efficiently. I got a Bluetooth keyboard with a tablet slot, with headphones on its like I'm at my office with two screens. Also love that I can take out of case I was going out and didnt want something so bulky. Only downside is when using two screens and watching videos on one, if you flip phone. Horizontally the phone won't flip screen right and you have to remove from case if wanting to use it with Carplay. Thanks again!!!!

I was really tempted by the lg v60. I switched from iphone to the lgv20 when it was new and then to the lg g7 after that. They were great phones, but they were horrible in terms of receiving updates. The software was bloated and felt old after switching to oneplus and then back to iPhone 11 Pro, and the phones themselves just didn’t feel as premium as some other options. I really hope that lg can iron out their android skin and hammer out the update issues they have because i really want to like their phones.

This seemed pretty fair and I enjoyed it. I just don't get what you and others harp on so much about the software. I have an LG V40 and I love their software. I play a lot with my family members' Galaxies and iPhones and I don't see how they are superior to LG's software or how LG's is inferior at all. Can you please elaborate? Other than that, I agree with what you have had to say about the V60, even though I still haven't experienced it on-hand. Thanks for the review! (Update: I have the V60, now, along with the LG Velvet AND the LG Wing, and I love ALL of them. The V60 is a beast of a phone with the best camera out of the three - and out of any phone I've had and tested - but I like the Wing the best, for some reason. LG should update the UI on the V60 to match the one on the Wing.)

That is an interesting point on the 8k recording, I feel it's a push for something not many can enjoy and I guess that could be added to any new feature really. I wonder if it could have been possible to save every other frame of the recording to both internal and expandable storage at the same time and then once you finish recording it combines both drives recordings to whatever drive you want to make one video, it's a complicated work around but let's hope in the future better speeds will be more common.

I love my LG V40. I think LG phones are the perfect balance between the barebones stock Android/Google products experience - which sometimes is too simplified, sterile & heavily dependent on only Google (the giant almost-monopoly) - and the bloatware/restrictiveness/artificial dependence of the likes of the Samsung and Apple software/ecosystem. Their hardware is amazing too, super consumer friendly and almost professional grade customisability and options that are hard to find elsewhere. I hope their smartphone department can succeed in the long term.

My main reason was the audio it's the best audio experience in the current crop of phones. Quad dac headphone jack and aptx support for bluetooth is unbeatable . Cameras are also great when used in manual mode. Put on nova launcher and it transforms into a powerhouse.

I have the V60 and I love it. My only complaints is that its pretty big and probably the heaviest phone I ever owned. But it is an absolute Powerhouse. With low to moderate usage, this phone lasted me 2 days one time, so the battery power Alone along with modern up to date tech inside is more than enough to warrant getting this. Not having Face ID is not a deal breaker, but it would've been nice. My G7 had Face ID and it is sometimes annoying to try and unlock such a big ass phone one handed with the fingerprint ID or swipe code unlock. The phone is heavy for one handed use so any little feature that helps with managing a big heavy phone is appreciated. Other than that, 5G is not the greatest on this phone and has lesser bandwidth range than other 5G devices but honestly still nice to have since it future proofs the phone when 5G really blows up. Video recording is Amazing, and camera takes great pictures but not the best I've seen. For the price you pay for this phone, you get a phenomenal piece. This thing really does it all. Not to mention my car (2014 Yukon) has a nice Bose system but no bluetooth wireless music but does have an AUX port. And let me tell you, if you're an audiophile or bass head, the 32 bit quad dac + good speaker system turns your car into a Music Factory. There is a HUGE difference when you have a quad dac direct connection thru aux than when you have your phone connected through bluetooth. Sound quality is Amazing on this thing and you will not be disappointed if you have an AUX port. Everything else is up to date, chip, specs and upgradeable gb just makes this the Ultimate Phone in the DO IT ALL category. Not the prettiest but most certainly the biggest Beast on the market that offers the best bang for buck hands down. I always count on LG to pull out bangers and every 2 years they always tend to surprise me with a Better unit. 👍

V60 dual screen being replaceable is huge. Could easily imagine a upgraded case with some better cameras and even batteries attached. Weight is a issue but with modern tech its manageable majority of there issues are software based which arguably is easier to service.

The benefits to Nova Launcher for me on LG is being able to have gestures to call people (two fingers up, two fingers down), being able to use gestures to open apps, put apps and widgets over each other to have more things on one screen, and being able to have Shazam take up a whole screen. Plus it just looks and feels better in my opinion 😅 Shazam and the gestures for calling people I talk to the most is super useful for driving so I don't need to look at my phone.

LG V60 has native LOG support in default camera? I am stuck with V30 because I enjoy Cine Log, and they removed it starting with V40 (replaced with HDR). I am not interested in third-party apps Log (like Filmic Pro) because the quality and feel is way better in default camera app (also stereo audio).

I love LG phones (well namely the V series) because it's the only phone company that has what I want the most. But if I was to do a phone review, I would say don't get "this phone" if front camera videos or photos are important to you. Some people are always taking pictures of themselves, the LG is not for them (up to now.) Personally, I even like it like that as it means they are not wasting money on the front camera. I would even buy a phone with no front camera, I just don't use it. Another thing I've noticed about the V60 front camera from reviews is that it has a slight lime hue on video. That could be fixed in an update, if that occurs. I write this to you, as I don't want you to buy an LG phone and then be unhappy and hate them. Because they are really good phones otherwise.

I know why you feel like you can't ditch the iPhone. And I UNDERSTAND it. Because I know your main computer is a Mac. So in order to convince you to mainly use Android I also have to convince you to use PC. But I'm still going to try... Learn about the Microsoft feature called Your Phone. It syncs EVERYTHING from your phone to your PC exactly like iCloud! AND you can use the app to talk to your PC just like airdrop. Finally, Microsoft and Apple have united in making their software talk to each other and all of Apple's software (even your Mac) speaks to the PC the same way through iTunes and iCloud. So I propose a compromise, keep using your Mac as your editing workstation. Continue using your LG V60, and buy a laptop. I would suggest a Surface Laptop 3 or a Razerblade Stealth. It will be a great way for you to test out how all the services talk to each other, without worrying about compromising your editing habits and you can continue using all Apple services using EVEN iMESSAGE!!! Its a great idea and a fucking fantastic conversation starter so I'm sure it's worth a video.

I'm a huge LG fan and I loved the V60 which I had before returning it before my refund window closed. Simple for me. Apple captures people better than the V60. Right now memories of my kids matter more than all those extra features the V60 packs. I had the stylus pen and everything and this is no knock against the V60 but LG crippled it by not offering the right choices. The choice to go with the wide 26mm focal length for portrait mode and LG's tendencies to blow out bright scenes outweighed all the good the V60 had going for it. Trust me it pains me to say this. I'm back with my OnePlus 7 Pro and getting the 11 Pro next week. Even the portrait mode on the 7 Pro is better because it uses that telephoto focal length which makes people look normal and not kinda miniature looking. Everything else on the V60 is awesome including the battery life. The 60hz screen didn't bother me at all but I could tell it wasn't as sharp as the QHD screen on the 7 Pro.
