Let's be honest, the partner usually doesn't want to give up the security of something built to be with something that's honestly irresponsible and not as secure.

Talking and ending the relationship instead of cheating is much more honorable. But then again... cheaters lack that honor

@notlisztening9821 possibly, but he also gave up on a career goal he had, got married even though he didn't have plans to, became a step father even though he doesn't want children. He may have been left with a what if about her but he could have also gottent the career he wanted and found someone else who actually wants the same things as him.

what did OP do? if you mean his hateful nature and sadism sex, then I'd say it's mostly understandable, the sadism sex is questionable, but he had 17+ years of his life wasted, why do you think he went to see a therapist several times throughout the story? he became mentally unwell and even suicidal due to a result of her betrayal, I'd be furious as well if someone decided to throw 17+ years down the drain, he's been with her for pretty much half his life

While I can fully understand your reasoning it's because it is healthy to forgive. To forgive merely means you won't hold it over them any more, that you let that situation go and move on. Not that you have to continue to even interact with that person or act like it never happened. Just let it go and stop letting it decide everything moving forward. Now all of this is soooo much easier said than done and I haven't even fully embraced it as there is a couple people I haven't fully forgiven in my life.

35:13 That’s why she’s so hardcore into you now. Your showing dominance over her, your being greedy with what you want in bed & not her, which ironically is exactly what she wants, that take charge & demanding what you want from her & taking it. When women (or men) make so many choices/ decisions etc, when it comes to the bed, they don’t want that power/decision making. They want to be told what to do, they want their partner to take charge….
