Video Overview:
In this video, I explain a crucial problem with Luma AI's video extension feature. When you extend a video multiple times, each new segment includes the previously compressed original part, leading to significant quality degradation over time. This results in the beginning of your video looking over-compressed and grainy, while the newer parts maintain better quality.
I provide a clear example by showing a video that has been extended more than ten times. You'll see how the starting part of the video degrades in quality due to repeated compression, creating an inconsistent viewing experience.
I discuss a potential solution where each new segment should be created separately without including the already compressed original parts. This would help maintain consistent quality throughout the video, which can then be merged on your computer.
I encourage all Luma AI (Dream Machine) users who have experienced this issue to report it to the developers. By bringing it to their attention, we can help improve this tool for everyone.

Thanks for watching, and happy creating!
The video was created using the following AI
The "presenter" and thumbnail was created with Leonardo AI (leonardo.ai/) (the thumbnail was created with Phoenix model)
The "presenter" was animated and lip-synced with Hedra AI (www.hedra.com/)
All the rest was done with Filmora 13.5

It's an issue that will definitely be fixed (given the fact that we're still in beta). I'm sure that a year from now the real problem will be that these videos will be too real to be fake. In the future we will look for "flaws" in the videos to detect if they are real.
