1st game was so validating for me. I’ve had so many games as yorick where I won lane super hard, pushed turrets, and was just an overall nuisance for the enemy team, but it didn’t even matter when the enemy bot laners were so fed and could 2v4 my teammates

Alois you might have missed the update on cut down, you pick it regardless if you build HP cause it just makes you deal 8% more damage when the enemy is above 50% HP in any situation

@c.j.8263 last stand SHOULD still be better on sett, since a lot of the time sett used W when low enough to proc it. However, cut down is insane on urgot now

Also Alois you should try Statik shiv on Yorick, the stats aren't the best for him but the pressure is insane if you release Maiden since ghouls and maiden proc the Shiv's passive and as far as I can tell it doesn't need any special rune or item synergy setup so you can run it on bruiser, lethality or even the infamous Liandry's Yorick

Yorick can still solo baron if you have 4 ghouls tank for you, and when they all die you summon maiden to get more little ones

I didn't know I had ocd until herald was wasted

just looking at the first death you would be trading way better if you had grasp, gives you a nice heal and damage chunk which you can reset while using wall to buy yourself time while minions hit the enemy

yorick is really underestimated in rank. You can solo baron with 2 items, pushing 2 lanes at the same time while taking enemies' buffs. And all you need is to farm and avoid getting killed. Sounds like GP but imo he scales even harder with gold.

as a Yorick main I always let them push, stack 4 gouls under my tower and ghost E on their head chase them till death, and toplane is won.

Just play Jax and jump on his face when your E is up, also equal in splitpush potential and better teamfighter, HARD counter Just play Tryndamere and spin to him when your Fury is full, also very good splitpusher as Yorick Just play Fiora and as long as you got Q to scape his wall you win all trades (same for Trynd, Yorick wall is all we got to protect ourselves), also can match him on splitpush Mordekaiser, sustain is way better than Yorick's and as soon as Yorick wastes wall you ult him it's a free kill, regardless if he has flash or not, rush Rylais if ahead Kled is also a good pick against him, Renekton as well, an aggresive Aatrox that consistently lands W is hard to handle Yorick is thriving right now and it's becoming increasingly popular but our champ has had the worst counters in League history tbh. Anything that can reach him with it's mobility is good, Camille (which is my 2nd main and what I pick when they take Yorcik away from me) can really punish him in the first few levels and snowball HARD but Alois just played better. Also regardless of most Yoricks building lethality don't play tankss into him thinking that he'll tickle, his if Yorick attacks maiden target they deal % max hp MAGICAL damage (which scales with Yorick AD) so add that to Eclipse being a great Yorick item means tanks like Sion and Mundo are just free money for him. Didn't mention Irelia since she takes a more skills than the previous mentioned champs to play so 1st timing into Yorick might not be the best idea even if she's the hardest counter. But if you try, just remember that Irelia Q oneshots ghouls from lvl 1, you don't need to prep them, that means that Yorick throwing his E at her is just giving free passive stacks, even if she fucks up just farm and once you get Bork Yorick can't do anything, specially if he goes lethality Pretty long but I hope it helps you, I just want to see more people beat Yorick's 1v1 instead of the pussies that ask for 3+ ganks in Solo Q

The 1st game is basically the low elo issue regardless of the mmr of that particular game, no matter how good you are doing or how fed you are, some champs are just not as good as other to 1v9. If you had riven with 2 level on your top, 11 kill and 4 items that zeri would have cryed, not because you one trick her but because mobility and Cc makes a world of difference to carry consistently.

I'm a yorick main he is great but when you face higher elo players who understand spacing he falls off but in lower elo he's free

I had been banning Vayne for years and recently I just started banning Yorick. Even if you counterpick him with Mord it's not a guaranteed win and my main Darius just sucks into him. Sure you can punish him pre 6 but srsly that doesn't matter. Even if someone dies twice he will still be able to scale and no game ends before level 13-14. Ghouls are stupid and Maiden is basically a sixth champion.

Most of the normal top lane Champs win vs yorick. You have to punish him though, you can't let him lane or walk up without putting damage on him. Irelia riven Darius Jax and any ranged toplaner really puts a damper on his day. Stop him from getting ghouls and he really doesn't get to play, and if you do it right, his level 6 isn't strong enough to overcome the lead you've made.

The beautiful example: if your team is bad AF, you cant carry as yorick, even with huge lead and even against also bad players. The champ is not designed for 1v9. But if your team is good, nothing really matters. One of the two biggest problems in the game.

Depends on match up, usually you just put 3 points in W (for 3hp wall) if the enemy doesn't have a way out of wall or the enemy got an auto attack reset to destroy the 2hp wall. Yorick is also a snowball champ so you need those frequent E to chunk/poke the enemy that can lead to kill

Another thing with lower cooldown on E, it's easier to chase people because hit on E slows them and gives you movement speed

I needed more Alois Yorick content, I get my micro from slogdog and Krikey (responsibles for making my Mordekaiser matchup not really a counter anymore and also show how to manage Irelia). But for macro I need my boy Alois. Also a tip for starters, if you're new on Yorick hardest matchups as Alois said are Jax and Irelia, but I'd recommend to ban Jax, he's way easier to play so a low elo Jax will always be more dangerous than a low elo Irelia

Early gank. Bully him early. Kill the maiden. Play irelia gwen jax fiora or something like Shen and keep your taunt for getting out of w. For the teamplay well you ask in chat 30 sec before objectives or something we need to kill yorick on sidelane and you need to have your tp, so jgler helps you kill yorick and you can tp to contest baron. Kill sidelaner rotate to objective, reset, kill sidelaner rotate to objective etc.
