The Afro-Peruvan Culture is so so huge ! the influence and legacy this culture had left and still now gives us is so important to understand how the peruvian person is as he/she is. Since the Catholicism as *Saint Martin de Porres(the first black-peruvian catholic Saint in Americas),* The procession of El Señor de Los MIlagros(The Lord of the Miracles) with african origins in its worship...until the food and sweets... *Traditional Afro-peruvian Music(Festejo, Zamacueca, Landó dance, etc), musicians, also musical instruments as CAJÓN(that now is played in FAMENCO in SPAIN but from AFRO-PERUVIAN ROOTS), poets and artists* ... If you go to the South of Lima, before arriving Ica City, there is the Province of *CAÑETE* , an important Afro-peruvian Community, then in ICA, in the Province of *CHINCHA* , cuddle of the Afro-Peruvian Culture, there The Ballumbrosio Family keeps on the legacy of the Afro-peruvian music until now for generations, and they had exposed it in many countries. LIMA WAS an important Point of Afro-descendents, if you look for old pictures of the end of 19th Century you will find many part of the Lima Population was afro-descendents, specially during the celebration of the workship to *El Señor de Los Milagros, the biggest catholic procession in the World according the Catholic Church* but ALWAYS IT HAD a MIX of ethnics since the Beggining of the Spanish arriving. The inter-racial marriage was permitted since the beginning althougH is TRUE Black People was less rights than and Indigenous person and a Black slave was in the last level of the society during Spanish Viceroyalty in Peru, *the case of San Martin de Porres and Pancho Fierro* are so particular or the free-given black-slaves, too. During Spanish Viceroyalty a black people could be set him/her free if the owner wanted, also the inter-racial union among white, indigenous and asian people was permitted since 16th Century. Even ME, I consider myself an Afro-Mestizo girl, there was not distinction between ethnics in Peru, at least in the COAST region as Lima city or Ica city. Maybe in Highlands(Mountains region) the things were different...the majority is ethnically indigenous until now but it exists many register of Black people pass, one of the proof are the traditional Dances...many of them had as name: "negrillos", or "negritos" in their names, so it's proof of the presence of black people in The Andes, too. I saw your video on Lima, so I had to check it out for myself. I will say I had a similar experience in Mira Flores but you left a lot out! I actually traveled deep into Lima, away from the tourist. I will be back but I met a few wealthy Peruvians who invited me to their home with a made and a cook. Most Peruvians live in homes with bars on the windows but I may post my experience and reference your video.

Afro Peruvians are in Chincha just a couple hours South of Lima. Its a party central specially in the Day of the Criollo Music

Definitely checking more of your videos. Have been strongly leaning to relocate to Panama City 🇵🇦. There was a place across from where I stayed there called Peru Ckicken, the conciergevtold me it was really good. But, I didn't try it, I have never seen a Peru travel video. Now, I want to look into Peru further. There aren't many nice beaches close to Panama City. I need to learn Spanish better myself. In Panana you can get by so so with it, as a lot speak English there.

Bruh, good review. I have been to many Central and South American countries. It is no different in Brazil, parts of Mexico, Costa Rica, and many other Latin locations. I was married to a lady from Nicaragua and as a AA, you get a lot of attention, especially if you speak Español. Even if you learn a few words of Spanish or just use your smart phone, you are golden. I'm older now but enjoy yourself!!!
