QOTD: I cannot say for certain because honestly i have yet to face too many of them, I've only faced four (I'm about 2200). But i think its pretty healthy for the meta. Its really strong on its own but has no shortage of counters of various types (fairy, ghost, & flying are all pretty represented in the meta). On top of that this is way better than Medicham being the top fighter because Annihilape doesn't require any XL candies, so its much more accessible to newer players getting into GBL, and attracting new players is always healthy for a games longevity. So I'm pretty pro-Annihilape.

I also really appreciate your approach to GBL content, and the spice compilations are genuinely some of the most enjoyment I have gotten from this game and all the content relating to it. Also I'm only over the puddle in Ireland 🇮🇪 QOTD; I loved Annihilape in Scarlet, it was one that I gunned for immediately as I'm a huge fan of Ghost types and I have always loved the Monkey evolution line. I am actually overjoyed (which is a word I never use) with it's performance in GBL. It is nowhere near as OP as Medi because if the lack of bulk, but I think it is about time we had more contenders for the GBL meta, I am so so so bored with Medi, Lanturn and.. fill in the blanks here, the meta has been so stale to me for so long, I barely even finish a single set these days because I'm so bored, but annihilape motivated me, and I think it is a great addition to the meta!

QOTD: I would say Annihilape is a great addition to the meta. Its not overpowered by any means, just has some great matchups and coverage. Plenty of meta picks that can take it out. It has lots of hard counters and is itself not really a hard counter to anything besides things just weak to counter, everything else still can have some play. Its almost like a small void that's been filled with the now lack of medichams. Think its one of the best new mons niantic has released to pogo in a while.

I was running ludicolo magcargo core yesterday, such a fun team. Maggie has always been one of my favorite spice picks!

You scared me! I saw that the sliggoo was running gunk shot according to the graphic and when I saw the charged move against the abomasnow that didn’t throw a trash can I thought they removed it. Turns out it was sludge wave.

Surely you already know but, if you have a shadow Pokemon as your buddy, with the best buddy badge and give him a Poffin, your buff chances are highly increased (using Night Slash, Ominous Wind, etc). It might work with debuff moves (I have not tried it). Greetings!

@@danieliusblackius1130 in the two examples he shares, it seems the mons need to be LVL 50 or +, shadow, best buddy, assigned as buddy & a poffin. It increases the buff from 10% up to 40% (somewhere around).

I think its rated good. Been using as my safe swap and about to hit veteran for my first time. I run it with double nukes. Climbed 450 elo in the last 3 days with some of that trying different leads and closers. Double nukes really catch people off gaurd. And its pretty bulky compared to the other pokemon i use

Idk how they'd do it but what if instead making certain mons banned they made team bans instead... so like the wiggly basti svic team couldn't be put together in the team picking list. The strong cores like lanturn/swamp+skarm cores. Again idk how theyd do it but that would be a near idea

A fine team, however the Nacli line defeats all of them. Also, against the Bastiodon team, wouldn’t it have been better to come in to the Wigglytuff with Sliggoo, preserving HP on Macargo for the Vic? Yes, Sliggoo would have gotten destroyed, but it may have chipped enough.

But then I'd instantly lose switch advantage & have Gastrodon aligned to shadow Vic. I think the way I played (especially the second time) was the right thing to do, I literally just needed a single muddy water debuff in either game.

QoTD: he is... rated. Everone is team building against him or Poliwrath so the meta is very hostile to it. Still, he is nice, but not that overwhelming as some more RPS stuff or even old Medichan, mostly because this thing while hard to farm down, takes huge amounts of damage on charge moves, due to this low def high HP type of bulk, just like Guzzlord. If he faces something that can't 2 shot it and is forced to farm down, it's where it shines I think.

Have to say that this team did surprisingly well. Great battling.

Annihilape was great even when being hunted, excited to see how good it is once a lot of that hype dies down. I think it's much better in the Ultra League than it is in the Great League though

How abot triple ape team - Anihilape, Infernape and... Aipom maybe? Panpour? Orangaroo?

I absolutely love the title 😂😂😂 Personally I think annihilape is very good. Having only 3500 cp at max isnt rlly good for master league, but its still kinda bulky with pretty good damage. In ultra and great league, some teams are built to counter it alone which means its very good.

I wish the Goodra line had better moves tbh. Muddy water is indeed terrible. If it ran Aqua tail or surf instead it'd be mpre viable in probably all leagues. Idk if they can learn those in the main series or not, but it'd be nice.

I don't know why niantic hasn't buffed moves like muddy water, twister, low sweep. Muddy water 50% debuff chance, twister 45 energy 45 damage guaranteed defence debuff, low sweep buffed damage and maybe a debuff.

15:18 dude I saw this same team a ton last night, and had the same reaction. I actually posted in KingGBL's Discord asking if someone had dropped some video with an ABA weak to grass team because of how often I saw Cash/Lanturn on the same team. Real dumb.
