If it's made of flesh you can butcher it. Anything else like gem or stone or mist you can't.

Surprisingly the beast only took down 8 dwarves? Not bad at all

honestly forgotten beasts rarely get the chance to merc my forts, often its the elves ive pissed off, goblins or last fortress, a dragon
