I did NOT fly on BREEZE Airways...but in a way, I was a part of this flight. Join me, well, someone else, as "we" bring the full Breeze Experience to you on a state-of-the-art Airbus A220-300 from the Westchester County Airport in New York to the Vero Beach Regional Airport in Florida. Presented in my style, we'll learn more than just the difference between Nice, Nicer and Nicest!

Great video featuring your dad. A wonderful memory and father's day gift for him to be on your KZread channel. I didn't know Vero Beach had an airport. My friend lives there but never flies from there.

What a lovely video. The collaboration with your dad was fabulous! I've flown to Vero (I pronounce it "Veer-oh") back when Elite Airways flew there from Newark. I've been pleading with Breeze Airways for years to add a flight from LGA, JFK, or EWR to Vero but they have no plans to do so which is a total bummer. So instead I fly into Melbourne FL (MLB) which is not that convenient because you have to change planes at Charlotte or Atlanta, and then it's a 45 minute drive to Vero.

Always enjoy your flight perspective Peter and especially this flight with your Dad. It was really great to hear a description of what we were seeing as your Dad flew out of Westchester. Most VLOGS fail to point out the local points of interest but you chaps did a great job and I found it fascinating. Thank you both and safe flying.

Vero Beach was served by the “The Wings of Man”, Eastern Air Lines many many years ago, ‘40s thru to the ‘80s. EAL went bankrupt in 1991. One of the Legacy carriers. Aircraft went from the Martin 4-0-4, Convair 440 and even Lockheed Electras. So Vero is now back on the map with a great startup. Breeze had seasonal service from Islip, twice a week. And both Hartford and Boston had almost daily flights into Vero. It’s a good market for the Jupiter, Stuart, Port St Lucie areas. And did you know the Dodgers had their training camp there next to the airport for many years until they moved it to Arizona. Anyhow, another great video Peter!! “Keep your eye on the sky”…

While I can't say for sure, the Delta 757 at HPN was likely the NY Rangers or NY Knicks charter as they routinely fly in and out of HPN on Delta 757's (which I believe are specially configured for sports charters)

We just got Breeze airlines in our local airport. (AVP) with flights to Florida and Myrtle Beach. I was thinking of flying them down to Ft Lauderdale. Im a very nervous flyer and picky about the airlines i fly with for safety. I liked this video. How is Breeze with their upkeep and safety??

@@PeterMasella Me too! I do have a round trip ORD-MSP scheduled on a Delta B717/MD95 in late June. Hope Delta doesn't switch aircraft on me, although a A220-100 or 300 would be nice.
What routing were you using to say that DL was much cheaper than MX? As a retired airline employee, I have flown DL many times since the 1970s & have flown MX several times from CAK to MCO, LAS, & PBI. MX "Nicest" service is usually half the price of Business Class on AA, DL, or UA when I compare airfares. We are taking MX nonstop CAK-LAX for $352.00 one way up front & coming back on UA LAX-CLE one way $752.00. That's a big difference for a dinner on UA. CLE & CAK are only 40 miles from each other.
@PeterMasella
Ай бұрын
Delta was $250 cheaper in main cabin from LGA to PBI than Breeze from HPN to VRB. Despite the fact that VRB was where I needed to be, I saved $250 by flying on Delta from LGA to PBI. These prices are for "Nice" on Breeze and "Main Cabin" on Delta.
@tpajay
Ай бұрын
@@PeterMasella That's a huge savings! It must have to do with your DL status. For those who aren't frequent travelers, that savings isn't common. I checked 3 dates in June (2nd, 4th, & 6th) with the two airlines & those routings. I used fully refundable fare (Nice & Main Cabin), checking 1 bag, & giving seat assignment. MX was $230., $180., & $250. for above 3 dates. DL was $234.00 each day. To save $250.00, the fares must have been quite high.
@PeterMasella
Ай бұрын
@@tpajayPricing has nothing to do with status. The fare is for all passengers whether they have status or not. So a platinum like me will pay the same price as someone who isn’t event a Skymiles member.
@tpajay
Ай бұрын
@@PeterMasella That was my point. In order for you to save $250.00 between LGA-PBI on DL verses MX between HPN-VRB, MX would have to charge about $450.00 to $500.00 for a "Nice" seat. I have flown several times from CMH & CAK to SNA & LAX in "Nicest", all between $306. & $454 one way. What were the actual fares you were choosing between? This isn't a put down on DL because it's a fine airline that I non-reved a lot on through the decades. I fly on MX, DL, or UA today & MX has always been the best priced of the 3 for trips I'm taking. My biggest issue with them is that a lot of their flights don't operate daily.
@PeterMasella

@@tpajay Delta was $120 one way main cabin on the LGA PBI route. Breeze nice fare was $370 on the HPN VRB route.
