I Did NOT Expect To Get This Again (and love it more)... Two Rock Joey LAndreth

I'd had this amp when it first came out but I think I just wasn't in the right place for it. However, recently someone offered to trade me one and I took them up on it. How would I find it this time?

Just sounds great. I think it’s cool when signature gear actually manages to capture something unique that immediately calls to mind the player. Sort of a Daniel Lanois-esque “swampy/ambient” vibe to the outro playing. Nice.

I really like your tones with any amp, mate. Your inputs are also nice, even tho I don't have access to this kinda gear, you can really apply to the stuff you have access. Cheers.

Great video and playing as always, James. Good to see you getting more out of the amp second time around. The (rather wonderful) guitars you played through it are obviously very different, but each sounded excellent. I guess this demonstrates the versatility of the Two Rock JL despite being more characterful than neutral. Excellent stuff. :-)

Glad to see you’re enjoying your JL Two Rock the second time around. Like Rob with your Dale Wilson Tele, I often think fondly of your Atkin L36 😍🤟

Glad you’re having more fun with the JL Sig second time around. I remember commenting on videos last year, I believe the 3x10 is a weak link. IMO the standard 2x12 TR cab gives a more natural open tone and feel. The 3x10 is a little too dark and has a dampening effect which is a strange choice pairing when we consider the amp is already very clean and rich in its DNA. Have fun experimenting. Cheers 👍

Fantastic video! I also love this amp and experimented with some different tubes to see what impact they'd have (mine came with JJ's). Some NOS tubes smoothed things out a bit, but then I tried a combination of the new Genalex Gold Lion 12AX7s, both the ECC83 and CV4004 versions, in different spots and I felt the amp really came alive. Hard to believe it could improve, but it did....

Hi, Could you kindly provide us with the best lamp combination you have found? I mean precisely, with a diagram or a description of the exact positions of the new lamps along with their references. Thank you very much for your help!

Great video James. I too own this amp and have struggled to pull tones from it that makes me want to play it more often. Your insights are helpful, thank you. Just out of curiosity, where do you have the gain and volume set? Much appreciated, all the best.

As I recall you traded the prior one in to get the Huber Orca 59. I don't think I've seen you playing that guitar though. Still have it/love it?

In my opinion when you base an amp on Joey Landreth......LOL>...a nobody...are you selling an unknown amp? IMO....stupid naming.
