This looks fun but man I’m amazed by how well the 4Runner goes down on those steep hills! Just bought a 4x4 3rd Gen 4Runner this year and can’t wait to modify it. I’ll start with some simple off-roading and maybe once I get better at it I’ll try and tackle this path someday, great video👏🏽🌲

These suckers are super capable. No need for fancy bumpers and stuff. They definitely serve their purpose, but I was doing the same trails with a small lift and tires

If I remember correctly the 4Runner has the same front to back wheelbase as a Tacoma extended cab. They just look longer.

Hey bro I wouldn’t recommend driving alone, my cousin an experienced driver , had the ground loosened under him and rolled over a couple times and fell unconscious , luckily minutes later another vehicle passed by and got help , he only had a concussion and broken wrist but it could of ended a lot worse if it wasn’t for that family that saw him down there

Yeah, there's certainly some risk involved, just like many things in life. I travelled alone all summer in very remote areas that would have been much more dangerous than this trail... Maybe not the best idea, but certainly worth the reward

Came across this morning while sipping my coffee. Throughout the video I found myself slipping forward on my couch living your experience. That trail is on my bucket list but I am not sure when I will be able to make it because it is a long way from Yellowknife. Thanks for sharing and wishing you many more safe adventures.

Great video! Was in CO the last week of Aug '21, so just a week after you shot this. I have a 2000 4Runner and did Imogene and Engineer before the torential rains set in. The 4Runner climed over everything in it's path without any issues...225K miles on the odo. Had to cut the trip short, but plan on coming back for more. You've got pretty big cohones to do Black Bear alone! I don't have enough off road experience to tackle that one, but it is thrilling to watch the videos. You fly that drone like a Jedi Knight!

@@PartimeOverland That sounds like a great time. Seems like July August September is the best time for that area due to the snow pack needing to melt so the trails can open....also the most crowded, though. I don't know if you young guys would want an old fart like me hanging around.
