In the Web's off, both Andrew and Tobey took their time to think how to react when you see someone that it is you from a different universe. It was just like a wild west duel, Tobey knew where to shoot his webs and knew how to counter Andrew.

@@SebReaperGaming I mean, Tobey is the most experienced out of them 3. You can tell Tom took the worst theater out of them all, like aliens and New York or Space fights. But as a hero alone, he knew he was the less experienced. In homecoming he lives under Tony Stark's shadow and in FFH his role was blank, he didn't knew how to continue his life as a hero. So it makes sense to them hold off an massive crossover like this.

What's crazy to me is that he just doesn't look _that_ much older. He's aged REALLY damn well, considering it's been literally 20 years since the first Spider-Man movie.

Everyone in Hollywood gets work done. And CGI houses often use their own tech to keep actors looking their best. It's a vicious circle though cos it means if anyone ages naturally, when compared to their peers they look massively aged and lose job roles as a result.

According to the unconfirmed source.. there is actually a plan to de-age Tobey in this movie but he decline it.. stating he want his Peter to look veteran and wise compared to Andrew and Tom Peter

The cool thing about the multiverse aspect is that both Toby and Andrew’s Peter came out at later times in their life so no need for a de aging process. But for dead villains that returned obviously doc oc and the goblin could have used some de aging but overall they didn’t look so different that it pulls you out.

It's actually because it's not a perfect deepfake, so you can't really see the expressions on young peter

Damn this actually shows how much he's aged which means it reminds us of how much we've aged. I couldn't believe watching Toby back in a Spider-man costume. Such a rush of nostalgia. What an unforgettable moment.

His face has gotten so much more expressive with age. I always thought that he wasn't emotive enough in the original ones, but his acting in the new one is pretty great. This makes it easier to see.

Im actually glad they didnt de-age Tobe or Andrew for this. It was a great decision to let them be their older versions, allowing their experience be a positive influence and cautionary to Toms Spidey. I feel that de-aging would've incentivized the film makers to cut down on the 2 older Spidermens screen time, and increased the odds of there being distracting CGI wonks in certain scenes. I do think your work, here, is impressive....but Disney/Marvel/Sony made the right choice letting their ages be concurrent

Even though this is cool, I prefer him being old because it shows how he's old, like a veteran has more experience with the whole spider thing. Old Tobey really pushed the effect of him being more mature than both the others and it also shows how young Tom and Andrew are.

Damn. This is really good. I knew he looked older in this movie but it becomes so much more apparent when you stack them side by side like this.

I like Tobey’s Peter to be older, personally. It shows the time has passed. Their villains got pulled from different times and universes into ours (confusing) but the pay off worked (reasonably). But this De-aging is well done. I just know I prefer Peter to be older in this version :)

I like to imagine they got bit when their movies came out. Tobey got bit 2002, Andrew got bit 2012, Tom got bit 2017. So they all have different amounts of experience and have experienced different things overall.

it's just fascinating to see how both looks almost identical together and yet when u look it separately you can see the age affects

On the one hand I could see why people wanted this, especially when they also de-aged some of the villains too (since they were taken from around when they died). But I personally prefer what they actually did by making him look like his real current self. It’s more meaningful for viewers who grew up with Tobey’s Spider-Man to see that he grew up with us.

As much as I would've loved Young Peter, I think having him as Tobey is now, lived thorough all this journeys and impacts, is crucial to his character

This is where deepfakes could really shine in the future. They obviously work best when the underlying face matches the deepfake, so it's perfect for quickly de-aging an actor. It's far from perfect but must be a hell of a lot easier than the technique Marvel used in Civil War and Captain Marvel.

De-aging is something that they already figured out... and what Marvel does with that is far better and beyond deep fake because they don't just change the face like a texture map, but they even change the shape of the face in general.

The music is PERFECT here. Almost made me cry :')

To really convince people, there are subtle changes to the head shape changes you need you achieve as the skull becomes more defined as you age. It’s not just removing wrinkles and facial hair.

I really like this, its scary good how this looks. And you did a damn good job. But im glad that Andrew and Tobey were allowed to look like that. Im glad they allowed them to age as the years progressed, it really is a cool idea to have them age in real time.

This made me appreciate him in No Way Home even more! Great job! So cool!

That would defeat the whole purpose of tobey’s Spider-Man tho. His whole role in this movie was to be the adult veteran Spider-Man and you can’t show that if you de-age him back to when he was inexperienced in the raimi trilogy. Props to this guy for de-aging him tho, it looks pretty good
