On the sixth day and second round football matches of 76th Independence Day Knockout Football Tournament 2022 in the memory of late Hari Maya Sharma, organised Pakyong Sporting Club, two Football matches were played here at Pakyong St Xavier's school playground.
The first Match was played between Jhapa XI versus Pakyong United Sporting Club, Jhapa XI won the match by 3-0 goals.
Shyam Murmu of Jhapa XI was awarded player of the match. Sanuka Samba of Jhapa XI who scored 2 goals was awarded cash prize of rupees five thousand from the Chief Guest.
In the second match played between 58 GTC Shillong Meghalaya versus St Xavier's School White, the match was decided by tie breaker in which 58 GTC Shillong Meghalaya won by 4-2 goals. Both the winning team entered into next round of the tournament.
Shri Jacob Khaling- Political Secretary to HCM graced the event as the Chief Guest accompanied by M.L.A Shri Em Prasad Sharma with his spouse.
