@@Tsag12 Say what you will about Danny but it takes confidence to stay cool and in character in person when you have a mob of people who vehemently disagree with you breathing down your neck, whether it’s the Women’s March or the Rednecks in his nascar race video, it definitely is not something everyone is wired to do. Many times he seems to feed off the energy and amp it up rather than deescalate which in itself is difficult to do when threatened by large groups. There is of course a level of danger to it but I would argue it is himself who he is putting in danger most of the time As someone who is pretty reserved and quiet and panics at the first sign of conflict even one on one I’d like to implement a little bit of his personality in me . I don’t need to be as obnoxious or as loud as Danny but it is quite clear to me that it is better than allowing yourself to be a walking mat for other people as well, there’s a delicate balance between it all that I’m still trying to find but hope to. Anyway that’s my best way at describing why there is something to like about Danny’s personality and demeanour.

He willingly chose to put himself in a loud tension filled environment, with emotional & perhaps angry people and take command of it, that is something I would not presently be able to do or handle as well as so many other people but if we could do it we’d perhaps have more command and control of ourselves. I am not speculating about who should be at blame if Danny or someone else got hurt just the personal strength and mentality you’d need to have to even do this in the first place regardless of whether one believes it’s something worthy of praise or scorn. We are all structurally conditioned to work 9 to 5 jobs, please the customer and serve our boss. Anything that is possibly seen as not working in coordination with a group or community at large is frowned upon so choosing to put yourself in the midst of chaos i’d imagine is a pretty effective way of deconditioning from that which is a good thing in a day and age where nearly everyone and their dog has some level of social anxiety. Acting, practicing stand up comedy or preforming music in front of a crowd are other albeit safer ways to tap into that part of yourself as well, in the end though whether it is the risk or public rejection, being screamed at or booed or the risk of being physically hurt yourself you are still developing a confidence to assert and put yourself out there in the world rather than passively watching your life slip away which is something I think we all would be a bit happier to avoid. Hopefully that explains well why I see some value in this.
