I Cracked My Head Open Building A Fort

Love that his reason at the end was: I built a fort because I wanted to. Sometimes we all need to just do things that are harmless fun just because

Loved making forts in my room as a kid. We would get it all set up, and then drag our little TV in there that had the VCR contected to it 😃 Sweet times
I am going thru a lot right now with my work, and i work a lot of 12 hour shifts and i work out side of my normal work. my depression was at an all-time low today. and this video was what i needed today. i have been thru ovarian cancer twice and breast cancer once and my work drama is the last thing i need but this video helped me more than you know. your smile is just so lovely and you honesty is so nice. i will always to the wake up and shower as my coffee because of you.
Great message, When I was a kid about 12, I thought that being mature meant that you stopped doing all the fun things and acted like the adults in my life who sat on the sidelines and watched everything. I missed out on a-lot of things with that mindset. When I had my own kids,!I decided to be active with my kids and it was the best thing ever. Doing all the swimming, play grounds, forts, cereal, for supper and summer camps and it’s been a blast. Love the channel, so many vids to catch up on.
Spencer that was absolutely beautiful I totally understood it.im a grownup but gosh that inner child in me is very much alive.thank for a super video.peace and love 💛👏💐
“I built a fort because I wanted to” and Saturday morning cartoons are things to live by 💖
Love this. So much fun. Loved your message at the end. When I was child I made a dog out of boxes. I even stuck on curled up bits of paper for its fur. Not thought about that in years. x
After you said the words "I have to fix dinner" a KZread ad for a grill came on! I'll have to think about the childhood thing. When I was a kid they hadn't invented memory yet. 😃
I found being a kid way more stressful than being an adult, even though I would say I had a basically happy childhood. So many situations where you have no control, plus you have no coping skills yet so even problems or interpersonal conflicts that wouldn't seem like such a big deal when you look back on them now, at the time were absolutely overwhelming and borderline terrifying.
I was a kid back in the day when they would toss us outside in morning and we didn't have to go back in til the streetlights came on. For me, any random time outside takes me back. I do it every day.😁
OMG I AM LIVING FOR THIS!! Great work my friend!!!
Love your playfulness! Nothing like a fort to crawl into!
Don’t worry that plant’s immortal. 🤣 Come back when you’re not. 😆 This took me back to the days when my son was a child and he absolutely would have loved to hang out with you in that fort! He loved cardboard boxes. My mother in law would send big boxes of absolute junk she’d get at garage sales, my son had no interest in the toys he’d play with the boxes. One day he was 2 and he spent hours in his room taking a big box apart, drawing all over it, he put paper wings on it and made an airplane. I couldn’t believe it! This is just a great video and I can’t wait to send it to my son! Thankyou. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍
Spencer You Crack Me Up! 😜 Love You 2 the 🌙 ... xoxoxo
Good video. Continue on your road on getting the silver play button
Lovely creation. You are so fun Spencer.👍. My daughter favorite cereal is Cinnamon toast crunch.😊
Every time I see a video from you I smile. Yes, we need to nourish our inner child.
OMG love the Jurassic park humming! I'm with ya on not deciding on meals. I can't decide.
One of your videos came across my feed today and I watched. I love your channel. Very educational and very creative. Love your humor and your concept. Teaching people about your disability is awesome. So many people in the world act as if you're not a 'normal person" because of your disability. It's nice to see you bridging that gap.
I did that! In my van...and 2nd van...and now my tiny 19' RV, it is fun and comforting to me to LIVE in my fort... 👍
I wanna come hang out in your fort!!! For realz, though, today was a real hard day of having MS, so I definitely needed a boost like this. 😊❤️ Hoping that tomorrow I’ll have enough spoons to build my own fort! 😁

AHH your rules are the best rules ever made!! Also I'm really inspired to make a fort now... damn I miss being a kid and having a child's mindset when the smallest things (like making a fort) made everything magical 😢💖 now I need to watch The Sound of Music because it's always been my favorite movie since I was itty bitty and will definitely fulfill that inner child in me! Thank you for this, Spencer
It is always great re-enact good chilhood memories because it simply bolsters up positivity and, yes, reduces anxiety. For me it entails looking at old photos, playing chamber music from student days(i am a professional wind player)together with fellow musicians, especially sight read8ng new concertos or sonatas.it is sooooo refreshing and such fun and full of laughs at funny mistakes🎵🎶 Hugs and happy trips through memory lane🤗🙂
Love the tent/Fort!!!!
Hello cutie patootie , you never cease to amaze me . I remember when My kids were young and we would purchase a large appliance we turned that baby into a house 🏠 my son is 42 and boy did he love he man and skeletor . he had all the characters and the houses . He would scream out “ I HAVE THE POWER . And the moral of your story is a great one . 🌻🌻🌻
I use to build tents in my room with many sheets. Good times!! Btw, Spencer, the Jurassic Park theme for the boxes.....😆😆😆
Thank you for the motivation Spencer.😊
I think it is _so_ important to just _play_ .I believe that it is the secret to life and happiness
This is so cool and fun! I have some toys from the time then I was 6yo. I'm going to play now
KZread gave your channel to me randomly. It was like love at first sight. Subscribed your channel n now going to see your previous ones.
Awesome fort!! And an awesome message here as well, on more than one level. It really is important to make time to do stuff such as this. I've learned in life that it's the little things that are very often actually the big things.
Gem and the Holograms was the best cartoon!
Your awesome
Just brilliant! 🤩
I'm in love with the sign! 😁
I’m much older than you, so you may not relate to my childhood forts. We’d take blankets, fold them over the clothesline, and anchor them into the ground with wooden clothespins. Just about every blanket we owned had the telltale holes in all four corners. Anyone else? 😄

We'd clothespin our towels to the fence, then use bricks from my mom's garden landscaping to hold down the other end. Good times!!

Always love going back and watching X-Men the animated series when I need some of that fun. 😁
You should invite Jake to enjoy that fort with you! Recently, I've been watching old game shows that I used to watch as a kid like Press Your Luck, The Price Is Right, etc.
Oh spencer you inspire me Thanks for the fun video ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The framed photo of the Golden Girls god I love this guy 🤣 👑 👏🏻
OMG, it's magical!!!
This looked like so much fun! I remember watching Saturday morning cartoons too, and whilst we don't have CTcrunch, we have cinnamon graham's which I suppose are kinda the same - and yes they are my favourite cereal too! Unfortunately I don't have many boxes around right now - BUT there are enough to build my cats a little Fort instead 😍😍😍 #WeekendSorted
Will your next Keynote be inside the fort? Love how we see your reflection in the tv holding your blog camera. Now to get brand deals for those boxed dinner time!
Hi I'm new but I love your videos❤️
I think you should keep the fort up and put up one of those signs like they have at a construction site: IT HAS BEEN _______ DAYS SINCE A WALL FELL DOWN. And have prizes for each dozen days. Each 5 days?? Your friends could come over and have a prize drawing. Live It up! For as long as possible, and invite every adult you know and maybe some kids you know to come hang in the fort every weekend. 🥳
I love this, but I was always the kid (and adult) who looks ahead to the clean up and then doesn't want to do the mess part.
Spence, you've inspired me to build my own fort! 😂❤️
Loved this! 335 likes and not one dislike. You're my inspiration!
I loooove CARTOONS, and I love it even more since I'm an adult
I used to LOVE building forts when i was young, i used to get super upset when my mum would to wreck it to get her sheets back!
Sweet fort!
Now, that's one way to recycle •ᴗ• btw, I'm a big fan!
They had awesome cartoons back in the day.
You are suuuuuuuch fun
I bought some CTCrunch today 😋 live your best life man
Just found the channel. Great vibe. You kinda have a James Mercer look to me. Haha. He's a brilliant songwriter, so it's a compliment. Anyway, keep it up!!! More need to spread the positivity like you. Thanks.
I’m going to colour. I love it as I kid.
I've run with my inner child the whole time 😁 & I totally skipped the day we learned how to grow up 😂 #noregerts haha
You should watch Spike Lee movies from the 90’s and he and his Director of Photography at the time Ernest Dickerson always had these shots or scenes where the main character is moving forward on a “ stroll “ as you like to say! Have you ever watched Spike Lee movies? I would say start with ‘Mo’ Better Blues’ since you like music.
this was so much fun
thank you for giving me an excuse to go back on a swingset again!
I too needed stitches in my head when I was a child. I still have hair growth there but, as of about 20 years ago, the hair has grown in grey/white!! I had the white streak in the front area of my hair before it was fashionable.
This made me so happy. But now I really want to build a fort and break out the N64 and Sega lol
Awesome fort..cereal is my favorite neals...I'm the cereal killah
If you do something like that again use bedsheets with the elastic in them they stay up better. I used to be a childminder miss it.
Now I wanna build a fort!
100% going to start calling fake plants "immortal" 🤣🤣
Those things... are pretty much what I do all the time... 🕹️🎲🤖👾
I remember. Saturday morning cartoons and Saturday morning wrestling.👍😊
Wait a minute. You're building a fort out of boxes and you don't even have any cats? Anyway, every boy I ever knew grew up cracking his head. It was like a gruesome hobby. So, nice fort, Spencer. You've now got a tiny home inside your apartment! Hmmm...what will I do? If I had a copy of Tale of Two Cities, I'd read it in the attic. That was me as a kid. I need to get outside. That's what I'll do.
(People going crazy during the Ontario lockdowns) 😂😂
Man, I should make a blanket fort.
Whatttttt omg I need a damn fort buddy lmao
Omg @ jem and the holograms.." me and my friends are jem girls.. jem. Jem is her name.."
Lolllll being a 30 something watching another 30 something (I think?) build a fort 😎😎😎
Jem and the Holograms! Are girls allowed in your fort? When I was growing up, most were boys only lol
I made myself a big girl fort and can actually live in it! It's 8x12 feet :) lol
I just realized I haven't built a fort in like.... 2 years. WUT am I doing with my life?!
