I Couldn't Resist... Nitto Ridge Grapplers on my 2021 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro!!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Okay fine, I have a problem... so what?!?! lol. Today I showcase my new set of Nitto Ridge Grapplers on my Lunar Rock 2021 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro. As many of you know, I've had this exact set of Nitto Ridge Grappler tires on my Tundra TRD Pros before. To me, it really is the PERFECT TIRE for this truck. It fills out the wheel well, widens the stance and just brings it all together. The size of the Nittos are 295/70r18 load range E... weight is about 70lbs per tire. Which is about 15lbs more than the Yokohama Geolander AT tires that were on my Tundra before.
I love how aggressive these Nittos are while still sustaining a quiet road presence. Very minimal road noise from these Nitto Ridge Grapplers. I love BFGoodrich KO2s as well but they just don't suit this Tundra as well in my opinion. Would you agree? Should I have considered a different tire? I know a lot of folks really like the Falken Wildpeaks AT3Ws and Mickey Thompson Baja ATs. What tire would you have selected?
Thank you for watching as always, I really appreciate the support. If you found ANY value in this video or would like to see more Tundra TRD Pro content, please consider Liking and Subscribing. Your support means a lot and it doesn't go unnoticed. Thank you!
-Stay Untamed...

My 2021 TRD Pro double cab has 285/70/18's on it. I went with that size because it is the last size before it dramatically impacts the mpg. I still am able to get 15 city and 18-18.5 highway with my size here in Texas. I've read on the forums that with that extra 40 lbs for all four tires it is the tipping point for the mpg to go down. The best part of the Nittos is just how well they last. I'm at 51,009 miles as of today and they're still looking great. I bet I can easily get another 15-20K out of them before they hit the wear bars. Your next project should be putting some RCI rock sliders on your truck. I have those and they are amazing. I also put a 12,000 lumens lightbar in my big hood scoop which helps a ton in Texas when driving at night and all the deer try to jump in front of me. Great video!

Curious if you cross shopped 295/70-18 Recon Grapplers in SL weight range. They are 52.5 lbs each and perform very well against the Ridge Grapplers I have had in all conditions, but don't get that big hit on MPG and ride quality. Put Recon's on my 23' TRD Pro and only seeing 1-2 mpg hit adjusted for size (17-18 mpg hand calculated now vs. 19-20 mpg stock)

Interesting, just went through that wheel debacle w/ my LS500 @ local Lexus dealership. They’re going to repaint and repair! I always make a point of telling the svc tech, w/ whom I check the vehicle, that I expect them to take care of my wheels and watch where they place those lug wrenches. They actually type that into the comments…wether replacing tires or just rotating I set the expectation right away.

What tire pressures are you running at cold? Googling tire pressure for 295/70r18 Nitto Ridge Grappler and there's a wide variance of people running various tire pressures. Discount tires had it at 35psi cold but i feel like it's under inflated, I have it now at 38psi cold and it feels better for normal driving.

Just seems like some AT's are more aggressive. they just don't really look like an MT making it pointless so why just not go with an aggressive AT. the spacing between the lugs seems be more aggressive on the wilpeak at 3/4's. I know the lugs are spaced closer for road noise just not a fan.
