I Could Have Died Fishing Here By Myself (Catching Snook In Florida At Night)
Спорт
I caught Snook in a very dangerous place to fish at night. In this video I'm fishing with live bait and lures in hopes of catching a big Snook in Florida. I targeted several different bridges that are known to be good spots to fish during the spring. I also tried fishing at the jetties for the first time at night. On the third night of chasing after a trophy fish Julio joined me. He's been a longtime subscriber of the channel and has become a great fishing friend through the years.

If everyone gave a couple of bucks then JC could feel better about doing these tough vids. I'm in!
JC, I just wanted to give a sincere thank you for “all” of your content, I’ve watched every video you have produced and just want to say I appreciate every one of them. 👍🏻
I know these videos take a lot of time and effort but these are definitely my favorite. I’d rather watch you struggle to catch one trophy snook than catch 20 little ones, the journey to the big catch is half the fun. It’s a representation of REAL fishing, not just a highlight reel. I know views half been tough lately but I want you to know I respect the grind, keep it up brother 👍🏼

Honestly man it's refreshing to see the whole path rather than just the catches. Love your content as always (:
Thank you JC, I do appreciate all of the work you put in to the content that you make.
Way to share the grind JC 💯 Makes me want to work that much harder now on those tarpon I’ve been looking for. Thank you for working so hard on these amazing videos you give us to watch 👍🏼
I love the honesty and realism of your videos man. I can't tell you how many times I've been in the same boat! Always love your content man.
What a great REALISTIC video of how it can be. The grind is real. Your passion for fishing even more real!!! Thank you!
Really appreciate all the time and hard work you put into making your videos. Thanks.
LOVE these snook videos! Been needing these for a while! I feel like i can relate to these land videos so much 😂
When JC says mullet are to big for bait. My stomach starts growling . Let them hit the grease JC !!
The amount of dedication is insane JC!! Stay safe out there man!
Thank you 🙏 I enjoyed the whole video. I do the same all the time here in Florida . It takes dedication and time and lots of coffee ☕️. You show what others don’t show. God bless 2 thumbs up 👍🏻
Great channel. Love that you have a real channel and can catch fish without a $90k boat or $1000 reel. I’m just starting out kayak fishing.
Appreciate the content and the effort. Tight Lines!
Love how much effort you always put Into You videos man
Jc love these kinda videos especially when you keep it real man but you do have to be very careful on those jetties man!
You deserve something for this video. I live in the area and I can fish virtually through you! Especially this last week while I had a stomach flu all week. Keep it up JC

Great video buddy. You’ve already made a hundred dollars on views 👍🏼👍🏼
ive been fishing while living here now for a little over a month and only have footage for a couple good videos. mad respect!
Keep up the grind JC, the big girls have been chewing well lately so I’m sure you’ll find them! The grind will pay off
Really cool video JC, thank you for putting in a lot of hard work for us to watch! Julio could of been a wee bit quicker, just sayn 😂😂
You had my heart racing for you on those rocks! Been rough during the day there sometimes! I lost a ton of gear there a few weeks ago. $$$. Tight lines!
I took a tumble on a Jetty a few weeks back. Cuts, and scrapes and bad bruise to leg but thankful it wasn’t worse. When i slipped and started tumbling i was thinking it was going to end up very very bad. Appreciate you grinding it out to try to get us videos! Keep it up!!

I did the same thing a year ago. Busted up my shoulder pretty bad. It's a spot I have caught many 40's. Epic fights in very limited space. It's Actually not easy fishing off huge rocks at night. Some of the rocks get very slippery.
Great video as always.
Nicely Done! I Fish Montauk point in the dark! Get yourself a set of korkers. It's very dangerous especially when you fish alone! Stay safe and upright! Tight lines!
Can’t help but to admire the hustle 💯. I’m out there on the water daily and know how it is!!
Great video brother nice catch will get that big one next time 😃 is tough fishing nights man especially on the rocks💪💪
Love you JC I know that some fishing lures are expensive but it's not worth it losing your life over a fishing lure Lurers can always be replaced but not your life keeps fish on and please be safe out there
I never jigged fished for snook till I saw your videos. I've had alot of success no 40"rs yet but some quality fish. Im looking forward to trying a jig in June July when the tarpon show up. Caught alot at lb pass throughout the years but none on a jig. Still waiting to run into you just haven't had the pleasure! Great video JC👍❤️🐟

Thanks for watching. Big Tarpon were on the North bridge the other night.
Wow. That would be my luck making videos lol. I wouldn’t catch anything if I took the camera out lol. And I would catch one every throw if I forgot the camera 😂😂😂. I applaud you JC for taking the time not only to catch the video but edit the videos. There great man 👍. I can’t wait for the next video lol I’m hooked 😂😂😂
J.C. I'd love to go fishing with you I think we'd have a good time. Back in the day me and my wife would fish the bridge's and would bring my young one with us. She would sleep in a little play pen we would bring. The wife would fish dead shrimp on the bottom for snappers. I'd throw the net for mullet and fish for snook. Lately with work and age we don't go like we use to but I told her J.C. said get out there enjoy life. Thank you buddy you are so right . I have grandkids now and I want to make memories like my grandparents did with me.
JC thanks for what you do. Please do it safely! I really don't care if you catch a fish if you have to endanger yourself. #OfficialRadReelingFan!!!
Idk how often you eat taco bell but I really recommend the steak chalupa. Those things taste amazing
Nice! I know somewhere one,the twice the size of that one are waiting for you.
I fish those jetties all the time especially at night the boat and kayak launch I had really good luck over there on reds and snook
Man JC you got more guts than me no way I’m on them rocks at night
You should try a clear bobber with a dark fly on the end of a leader, works really well for snook at sunset .
Good effort Good Video
Thanks!

I was down on tuesday afternoon at the jetty's and fished both the bridges for a few hrs. Looked for you but didnt see you. Caught a pompano and a sheeper. Caught a bunch of lady fish. Be back in June with the kayaks.

Thanks for the report. I am hoping we don't have to deal with red tide this year.
Those jetties are scary at night. RIP lure
you can’t always win !!! this time was for the fish
You said spooltek changed their design? When/how? Love watching your videos. Makes me wanna grab my rod, my snook case (flairhawks, live targets, spoolteks), kiss the wifey good night and run to the water. Central West Coast Florida here. Keep the videos coming man!

At one point the changed the cable to Dacron line.
Yeah,I sure wish they’d make those jetties more user friendly, lol. They’re too treacherous for me,and my artificial hip, even in broad daylight. I have seen guys catching all sizes of snook there at night.Free-lining whitebait on an out going tide.
trying to find these spots man
I'm down vacationing in st.augustine, almost stepped on a man o war
Of all things taco bell! JC!....To bad tijuana flats are not open late!

I'd throw a big ole paddle tail on a twistlock hook so it's rigged weedless. Maybe keep from getting hung up on the rocks with that.

So which do you not like so much, the jetty rocks or the Skyway bridge?
@RadReelingFishing

I'd rather fish the jetty for sure. Thanks for watching.
Thanks man, great video. One thing I’m starting to get a little disappointed about with FL snook fishing is how slow it can be. I’m a NY transplant and used to catch striped bass MUCH more consistently than snook, and I’ve been down here for 19 months already. Sure, I’ve caught a few big snook but there are SOOOO many fishless nights. I’m not saying that you can catch striped bass in NY each and every night, but it’s WAAAAY more consistent than snooking 😢…
@ziradee

Depends on time of the year. Plus we have so many other species that you can catch. In NY it's Stripers, Fluke/Flounder, and Bluefish(yuck). Here we have a smorgasbord of fish depending on time of year especially if you have a boat.

Snook have a bigger bladder than other fish 🐟 They are more sensitive to pressure. When conditions are favorable they go into beast mode. When they don't chew target other fish that will chew.
JC where are the videos! You don’t get a vacation!
Do you sale your hand made pomp rigs ?

@@ziradee I'm thinking Snook harvest isn't going to be open in June because it's always closed during the summer, it's their spawning season. I think what they have done (FWC) is closed the season into June which is a regularly closed season.

@@RadReelingFishing True. It's been so long I forgot spawn starts then. Gonna have to drag the boat North of S. R. 64 before it closes just North. Been a while since I've made baked Soap fish. Sounds appetizing. 🙄
I guess it this is why it is fishing not catching. Took me. two nights to catch one 30 inch trout.

That's too much work. 👹.

It's delicious, but the season has been closed in my area for about five years due to red tide kills. Thanks for watching.
Ya I fell off a jetty landing a fish and hit my head on a rock and broke my arm I was lucky enough to wake up a few min later in the water and was able to limp to shore and dragged myself and gear to the truck and drove myself to the hospital I haven’t been fishing since

You guys are crazy for fishing on the bridge while traffic is coming your direction. Guys are asking for it. I'd never do that
No such thing as mullet being too big, bring them home and smoke them.
