From my experiencing leading in Line Battles from Napoleonic Wars (Mount & Blade) its better to say "Form a line on me, on my right (or left)" and remain stationary. Consistent movement confuses people because they're attempting to form on *you* specifically. It takes some getting used to but getting a line to form on your avatar is easier than explaining to 20-50 people to form on an invisible reference point

My commander doesn't use a line. They just use pings and trust we can form up alone

just telling you something, when you form a line you need to stand still and your troops/line will form on you you can also say: "Form on my left and right" it will be a easy command for you to remember but I think you did a really good job leading a French line. Cheers!

I’m no French commander, But I do know a bit of tips. It would be better to just stop at a spot and tell ur men to form on you, the technique you are using rn might be confusing as you can see how disorganized the line. The 2nd was charging, you lacked charges. I’m guessing you were a 25 man line, so you should definetly charge more against smaller lines even if your line is mostly made up of depots. ( newbies )

For sure, I got a lot wrong here but after spending 35+ hours editing and reviewing my footage I feel well equipped to learn from my mistakes. We actually just played Barraux and performed incredibly well. I agree with what you have said as well.

I still remember when we used EI tech, muskets were so accurate, Cav charging would take out an entire line

@@mos8048 Your user just reminded me of someone that used to be in the good Andour days when Andour screwed over almost every nation but France

As a former solider in this game something that helped me on the field is when forming a line the officer would line up putting a base point where to line up. Just a tip I’m not a commander though so good luck in the future.

This battle was so fun, i had 22 Kills, i passed my training too, I am part of the 25e Infantry regiment 4th corps French Army, what a fun battle, and i'm glad to be included.

Scot, thank you for playing this game, bringing a new wave of competent recruits. (Unlike some other youtubers...) I'd like to see you in spectator maybe spectating battles, as they can be very entertaining on a bird's eye view.

You are such a underrated creator! I have no idea how you don't have 100k subscribers yet.

I'm not exactly a commander neither an officer but I have some tips I can give you when leading: -If you are being cornered / encircled the best thing to do is this thing called "Fire and charge" Where you fire first and immediately after charge and target the flag has that is the way people respawn -The current tech requires a ton of charging so it is vital for charges has a common practice -The more you command you get better so if you participate has a ranker in different battles you can learn yourself how to lead by listening wel l to the commander

I really love this concept Scot! Please do more of those videos, it's awesome ! (And stay french too pls hehe)

This deserves a heart

Try to form your troops as the C shape then retreat when the enemy forces gets close close in them so you make an O around the enemy’s forehead its a dangerous tactic but highly effective

I'm in Vistule and it's really nice seeing it get attention

Honestly, i'm more onto more modern-recent wars and medieval ones. Still this is really good!

Hey Scott, im in a Nation Rhinebund my regiment is Anhalt and I think you did like a 4/10 because you said Reload when your running from them bad idea because you slow down and they can easily get you with a Bayonet and also always have you bayonet on.

When they smashed the wall you should have used it as a bottleneck defense. Dont abandon a perfect chokepoint. It is almost impossible to win a bayonet charge attacking a narrow choke point

i was apart of the young guard once and part of the 84e it was fun and got alot of kills and alot of promotions

i think if you change the saying from 321 chant to chant on 321 would be easier for your fellow men to follow.

Try to stay still when you say "form a line" because 10 times out of 10 they will form a line on your left and right just so homies wont get confused

I really like Napoleonic war maps, but there is almost no such map for mobile except blood and iron , I wanted to hear more of these maps for other mobile players to be able to play too

I know lines is efficient and was used back then, but wouldn't a spartanian formation or a reversed triangle formation be kind of efficient? Espiecally because those formations was used whilst moving. PS, I'm not genius or experienced zulu war player.
