KZread had some technical issues for our premiere. Sorry anyone who tried to watch with us on Wednesday evening. I hope you enjoy the video. ❤️😊
I like before. It looks like a natural piece of art. Something that may be back from Roman times
I like the original one with the bleach only best. I enjoy your presentations with colored pencils & other art supplies. Thank you.
Well now, that's a new one, and I'm lovin' it! Guess I know what I'm going to be trying out tomorrow! teeheehee My preference was the before, as it just looked fiery and wild-ish. (however, I did have to go buy those Kuretake paints...ya know, for my own research purposes. Yep, for research is my story and I'm sticking to it. :P )
Very cool and unique idea!
I liked the keritake painted one the best. Very interesting painting, you are very talented Jennifer!
I have some bleach in a water brush pen. I then taped around the pen completely so I knew it wasn’t water lol. I use it on lots of different coloured papers/cards. You get different results and some cool textures depending on the colours. Because it is enclosed in the water brush pen there’s not many fumes. Great for quick card making. Stamp in a permanent ink on coloured card and ‘colour’ with bleach. You can then even go over with pencil or Copic once it’s dried 🤩❤️🇦🇺
Very interesting! Amazing how the paper turned orange! It reminds me of the old tin pictures of the late 1800’s early 1900’s! So fun!
I looooove the first version 😍😍😍 it looks like a treasure map or a compass bring us to a magical world full of bliss🥰 How looks a firework of bliss?🤔☺️
Thats beautiful
I loved it before the paints. Loved the video.
What a different idea I would never have thought of using bleach. Very interesting. Thanks for sharing
It kinda looks like fire. I love that
That's literally something I've never heard of as an artist. I knew Bleach is used for many things but I never thought we could use bleach products to make sweet artwork.
The natural one is my preference. Very textured looking,
I like the first one😍 definitely an experiment to play with. But the paints are really gorgeous. Will look if i can get them 😉
Finally could watch this from start to finish& it was worth the wait. As much as I love my new Kuretake paints I received for Easter, I really, really love the "pure" bleach version. The warm color seems to glow like molten metal. It looks like a Special FX in a movie... I may have added a touch of Bling with am accent of Wink of Stella on some of the golden areas. But that is what is fun about experimentation... you can keep on keepin' on until you like your piece..! Looking forward to your next KZread.
I like the 2nd one much better. the added colors seems to give more defination. it looks like a compass. thanks for the testing it was awesome watching it develop.
On the bright side, it will definitely be covid-free when you are finished!!! LOL
I have used bleach before for colouring, normally just just cheap water bleach, the card you use will make a big difference to the final look, some card bleach great some not so good and some it seems to not affect at all. Liked what you did, think I prefer the first before the paints were added.
Both versions are pretty but I loved the one with just bleach, those orange variants looked beautiful on the black paper, I don't know why but it reminded me of sand.
I was in and out last night because of the youtube problems, so I came in today to watch your video can't wait to see what happens. I thin k I would like to try this.
It’ s really interesting, Now I’m curious to know how the bleach manage in other paper colors
Have you tried a bleach pen?
💕 the AFTER! Looks awesome 🤩 Would this effect work on different colors of paper?
The second one is beautiful as well but the first is my favorite.
Beautiful. I wish I could try this because this looks amazing. Sadly I am allergic to bleach.
I love the original the best!
I loved the left side with all that shinny
after best....color makes it pop!
I think I like the first version better, however, I wonder what sort of effects you could get if you were to mix in a few drops of colored ink into the bleach such as Dr PhMartin ink or Range distressed ink?
In north of Africa, I saw marvelous big scarfs with realistic pattern's painted with bleach.. it's because people there have no money so they have great ideas ❣️
I like the first one better. I think the blue was good in the after picture but didn't like the other 2 colors added. Interesting video!
I love the first on the right
Before :) I wonder how the streaking could have looked had it all aimed toward the center? I really liked the dots made with the pipets.
Kuretake Gansei Tambi paints are available as open stock pans, so if you just wanted a couple of colors to try, or wanted to replace a favorite color, you can.
Definitely the original. It looks organic and free.
It’s a difficult one they are both lovely in there own right.
Jennifer I have a question, has you tried the Gelly Roll Moonlight 12-pack by Sakura? I am considering buying them
Have you tried adding colored Mica powder?
I wonder if a bleach pen would be easier to control than the pipette. Its also a gel. This was a cool experiment
I like after the paints
I like the first one best.
Bleach over the kuratake paints? What would that do?
It kinda has that cool x-ray look.
I think the streaks are from the cuff of the glove running across the page.
Very interesting 🙂
Those "strings" causing the streaks.... I think it's from the gel being thicker, so you could leave the gel out to evaporate and test how dry it needs to be. Or maybe it's thinner overall -- you added water, right? Then your tool touches on a tiny blob in the mix of bleach gel and water that isn't as dissolved.
I like the first one best,,,, the colors totally distracts from the original beauty
I would like to buy a mandala and swatch book. Do you send to Denmark ?. If so, what will it cost?
LOL OK last one from me -- I think you could totally do some pouring art with that gel!!! Different strengths in layers = different "shades." DONT FORGET TO FLICK IT!
Isn’t that fabulous ❤️
I'm surprised no one has mentioned that the product has warnings on it that say "do not breathe fumes, wear a mask and gloves and only use in well ventilated area" !
Interesting. In hairdressing, black hair goes through Seven stages when bleaching down to blonde. If you take the bleach off too early, you get orange hair.
maybe heating it with a heat tool will make it whiter, I know with bleaching black t shirts if you leave them in the sun or heat them they get white instead of orange.
Wow, it's like coloring with only greys!! But, on opposite day :-) bc the paper's black and you're actually taking color away. The more you put on the paper, the lighter it gets. I like the almost yellow parts where a lot of bleach was used, esp. how it seems to be highlighted by the rest of the "colors." Not that it matters, but thinking about colors again: the bleached parts look like BROWN (orange is a dirty/muddy brown IMO), so in a way it's like using Sepia pastel or charcoal stick, but again OPPOSITE. Haha, kinda hard to wrap your mind around whats going on here. Very entertaining, and thought provoking, Jennifer!!
I prefer the after with the paint
Great video I liked it before
I cannot watch because I am getting this message: Live event playback is not supported on this client. I've never seen this before. Any ideas?

I can’t watch it either. I keep on getting a ‘something went wrong’ message and ‘tap to retry’. Still doesn’t work.
I'm guessing the thin lines you got on the paper were from the thin piece of the pipette you cut off. The lines look to be about the size. Maybe it was dripping from the pipette as you moved across the page. 🤔
masking tape is the best way to get
Love the idea thanks for your tute Cool ideas looking forward to giving it a go Do you have a Facebook page Hugs
Over time, won’t the bleach disintegrate the paper?

I have a friend who is a fabric artist who stopped using bleach because of how it corrodes fibers. She now uses Rit ColorRemover instead. I'd love to see that tried here. Also different papers, I have some black Astrobrights, that sort of drips blue when wet. It would be great to know what companies are using to blacken paper
❤️
Did you know that heat will also help bleach work a little more quickly? That heat gun you're using to dry things also speeds the chemical process of bleaching, so of anyone wants to speed things up a bit, grab a heat gun! Just be mindful that you're using heat around chemicals when you do it.

I’m not an artist. My opinion is the original looks more antique and the other one is more modern. I like the first one better!
I liked before, looked almost like burned or ancient
Remember Bob Ross's saying " There are now mistakes in art, Just happy little accidents." I like the one with the paint.
Before
I like what you did with your mandala. It's so different, but sometimes I'm looking for just that...something different. I also like the addition of color to the mandala. I wonder what might happen if you were using a different black cardstock.
