I absolutely LOVE this sermon! It was something I needed to hear. I keep seeing my high school peers succeed in medical school, get married, announce new jobs and expecting babies, and I can't help but wonder, when is it my time for a blessing? I loved Pastor Craig's quote: We try to find our meaning in what people think, and we're forgetting that God created us for a divine purpose".

I completely understand where you are coming from. I myself have been through that very thing and I am currently 35 and I just now gotten married to my wonderful wife! No kids yet, no super job yet however, looking back, I wouldn't have wanted it any other way, God made that path for YOU. So slow down and enjoy it. God bless.

Amazing Sermon! It’s tough when we identify some Christians desiring popularity as a purpose. It does not glorify God, but themselves. That's why every single day we must be honest with these thoughts.

_i choose purpose over popularity from now on. powerful message!!_ _also I'd just like to add Matthew 5:10-12 which says 11 “Blessed are you when people make fun of you and hurt you because of me. You are also blessed when they tell all kinds of evil lies about you because of me. 12 Be joyful and glad. Your reward in heaven is great. In the same way, people hurt the prophets who lived long ago._ _this means that if people attack you for believing in Jesus, then you shouldn't worry as Jesus had experienced the same thing. your reward in heaven will be great!_

I'm getting so discouraged lately because it seems like there is no more preaching the gospel in the churches anymore. I listen to this and just think really? no conviction, no repenting taught, absolutely bland, scratch the surface, inspirational motivational speaking.

Christ did not die on the cross just to save us from our sins period of course he did that but he also came to give us life and to give us life more Abundantly.. Christ was beaten and was unrecognizable as he hung on the cross that is so that he could give us a new identity he lost his identity he was unrecognizable on that cross so that he could give us a new identity and him so yes it's about repentance yes is about our salvation but it's also about us having a new identity and him. Todd white's contemporary Dan mohlerPreach to the amazing sermon about our identity and Christ and he said too many people get saved and they don't have a new identity and they go for years feeling like they have a debt that they owe God for their salvation and they get worn out and they get weary And a go to church every week yet they're still on prayer list and they're still up in front of the church every week for prayer and they wonder why they're not growing and they're not making an impact for God and his Kingdom sermon such as these are necessary just like sermons on repentance and salvation and pastor Craig always gives an altar call at the end of his sermons we need sermons like this to. I've been personally walking with God for my entire life. And realized not long ago that I'm not fulfilling my purpose and I've known that for years and I'm finally have the courage to step out in do this so I for one and thrilled at this message it's just what I needed

You’re right, motivational speaking. It has nothing to do with teaching scripture. People want to feel good, and messages like this get the focus on ourselves. People don’t want conviction because they don’t want to “feel bad about themselves”. These types of messages are utterly dangerous; leading people to believe they’re in Christ when there isn’t repentance in their lives. Listen to John Piper or John MacArthur, they teach the truth.
