Oh My Gosh Mr. Beat hiiii
It's a treat to have a creator treat a couple hundred thousand followers as close friends and confidants. I'm only 25 seconds in and already I want to give you the fist-bump. See you at the end pal.

I like this openness.
I just wanted to say congratulations and that you should be proud of yourself. While this is by no means the end of your journey it takes a lot of courage and work to get through impatient and outpatient eating disorder treatment, and you have done so.
I'm so proud of you 💜 EDs at the core of it are coping mechanisms. I've had an ED for over 16 years, both before and after figuring out I was trans, and my ED didn't care how I presented. Femininity or masculinity don't matter, cuz EDs will just latch onto any insecurities you have. I haven't actually seen the alcohol video yet, but I started ED recovery in February, a PHP then IOP until mid April, so I'm glad we could accidentally be recovering together.
I never thought about the angle "That is a weird disorder for a man to have" ...but my first reaction when i heard your explanation was kind of like that, since you present normal weight. I am struggling with drinking too much, I wish you good recovery, take care.
wish you all the best. 40 years sober here. watch for the triggers and one day at a time.
I think it was between 2018-2020 I left a comment on your video asking if everything was okay? This was while you were saying something about your wife, Germany, and so on. I think I just noticed a little pause, and then sudden cheerfulness like trying to cover up how someone was really feeling about themselves. As someone who has struggled through various phases in life, I wish you all the best, and admire your courage for seeking practical help. Still here to see you progress.

Spot on, honestly. Thank you.
You are setting a great example for all men. Being prepared to acknowledge personal issues is an essential trait of a "modern" man. Many congratulations. Hope you continue to manage and hopefully eliminate this eating issue from your life.

Actually you can't get a mental disorder if you don't believe in them. That's why men have fewer mental disorders than women.
Thank you for this video. I hope your video is seen by many and resonates with many.
This is so so important! It took me forever to realize I had a mental health issue, and then even longer to admit I needed treatment! I lost years and years of my life to untreated PTSD and bipolar disorder. I'm still struggling sometimes, but I can live my life now, so if you can get treatment, do it! Don't put it off, work on getting better ASAP!
I watched this video on Nebula and came straight over because I wanted to thank you! It's bloody hard to admit we need help, and for you to have the courage to come out and talk about this so openly and so honestly is so important. Thank you for being brave and sharing your experiences. Only moments like this can truly destigmatise mental health and every time I see a creator talking about their struggles I feel a little less small and alone.
Hi William, it takes a lot of courage and strength to be vulnerable and to share about mental health struggles. I appreciate you sharing this. I am a man also (and like you, I'm also in my 30s) and agree that there's so much stigma (especially against men with mental health struggles). The stigma is so toxic and I too have heard messages of "being tough" and, as you said, white knuckling our way through difficulties. It's horrible. I totally agree with you about basing our values on loving oneself and loving others. I appreciate your video and wish you all the very best. Take care.
I think I needed to hear this. So no matter what else, that's at least one person. I suspect there may be others. Thanks for the video and thanks for being vulnerable. “I, myself, am made entirely of flaws, stitched together with good intentions.” ― Augusten Burroughs

I'm a male who struggles with bulimia :( Binging and purging has been a staple of my daily routine for over three years, aside from brief stints of recovery spurred on by the guilt of being caught by my family & by attempts to recover. I am very grateful that you felt comfortable making this video, as this is a very real and harmful disorder, and that it can affect anyone at any gender.
Wish you all the best. Hope everything goes well for you.
Thank you for speaking authentically to the need for mental health care. I’ll be starting treatment for my cyclical depression in early June. Carry on with this important message.
Excellent video William. Lot of wisdom and insight in here.
Thanks for sharing with us! Best wishes and stay strong! The world is beautiful, even though it's messy and may not always seem so (:
Thank you for sharing William. I've been struggling with bingeing and purging for close to 10 years, starting in my early 20s and exacerbated by the experience of the pandemic. I'm not going to lie and say this video will be the trigger for me to seek the help I know I need, but I just wanted to comment to say I appreciate your openness about this. Eating disorders in the male population aren't really discussed, so I think any signal boosting it gets is a net positive. Wish you nothing but the best as you go forward.
Thank you for speaking out on this topic. I appreciate your candor and bravery.
Good on you for getting better and even more so for sharing it with the world. Seeing people be open with their struggles, especially people who don’t always fit the stereotype of being teenage and 20-something girls, is meaningful and makes an impact.
I think it's great that you shared this. mental health is definitely important for all and it's also important to highlight the specific struggles and obstacles faced by many men in seeking care. a lot of wonderful men in my life have faced mental health issues. thanks and also best wishes. 😊
Thanks!
Appreciate you for posting this!
I appreciate you posting this video, take care!
This is amazing. Thank you for sharing this, and best of luck to you! ❤
Good luck! Best wishes
Thank you for sharing your experience. As some how going through difficult times, I had to acknowledge that I also needed help and that was truly difficult. So thank you and wish you luck on your journey! ❤
I had a moment of growth in my mid 30s. I had a panic attack which lead me to a night in the hospital. I'm an engineer (I design control systems for water treatment plants) so maybe my take on the situation sounds a little off to some. But I came to the realization that we are all living in "meat machines" and all machines require maintenance, including our control systems (our mental health) Is there shame in taking you car to the mechanic? Why should there be shame in doing some maintenance on our selves. We only get one body and one life to live. Take care of yourself! no shame in that!

Psychiatry isn't really down to a science in the same way maintaining cars is. And even so, you can get screwed over by mechanics.
Good luck man 💪😎🤙
Wish you the best buddy! You got this!
Thank you for sharing
You can do it! 💪🏻
Wanting to love yourself is already loving yourself. In metta meditation often there is the reminder that the meditation itself is an expression of metta.

It's not a question of normality. Yeah, most eating disorder patients are young women. Until you go to AA meetings and start counting the number of men who have replaced booze with food.

Come to think of it. Getting an eating disorder might be a good way to get to know young women.
sorry but you can't mention the cat without showing the cat. it's the law.
