What line length did you use? For me I go higher on a smaller kite and 23-24m lines in when it's around 40knots.

shorter lines mean the kite is flying further into the wind and when it's super windy, you don't want the kite sitting further back. Basically, he can hold far more power on a larger kite in stronger winds. I'd imagine riding an 8 in 50 knots is a LOT more manageable on 15m lines or less than on 20-24m lines. Also, Evan knows his onions :P

I'm mainly interested to see if Flysurfer can design a working board as my Flysurfer trip2 splitboard broke after 5 days of use from new, the central piece cracked. Although it has been replaced on warranty, the design is flawed you need a bag of spares if you decide to go for a week on a kite trip.
