From what I read it's only a static in three locations

So happy to see another Smant race! It feels like you're one of the only people to actually give him a run for his money. I do wonder why neither of you were using ZL to target Ditto/Zorua to check their names before encountering them. It's a lot faster that way! Edit: Oh, right, it only works if you have the pokedex entries already. Still, so good!

thanks for the heads up!! yeah I've picked up on this by now, once you encounter the mons then you can easily just peek the name before the battle. Gotta keep that in mind for next race for sure.

the spiritomb is a fixed spawn at a specific spot on the mountain, plus a couple other places. east of the river on a ledge with a lot of glalie around nice to see you again bloody!

Just in case people don't know there is a static spiritomb spawn on the mountain, directly south and a little east from the fairy base on one of the flat ledge ledges, i killed it by mistake and it spawned there multiple times.

Im not sure if you were talking about Levels so often because you were scared theyd kill you, but just in case a small heads up for the future: Levels do not matter when trying to catch a Pokemon. Only the Ball, its health, primary Status conditions and the species-bound Catch rate is relevant for the calculation. If you already knew that, I apologize ^^" Just thought it might be better to say smth in case you didnt

hmm wait up - isn't the level relevant before certain badges? I feel like I remember every gym leader saying something like "and pokemon past level X are easier to catch!" - I could be misremembering though :0

@@Blooby Well in this Game it matters for listening, but not for catching itself. If you have badges until lvl 30 and catch a lvl 35, it wont listen to you until you get another one. That isnt the case for having a Pokemon already and then leveling past the cap tough (e.g. your Starter will listen even if its 35 and you only have badges until lvl 30)

These need to get more attention

I find it funny that a Magnemite knocked out Trans Rights due to the fact that I always name my magnemite line pokemon after a trans character.

@@Blooby i'm not 100% sure if that is current info with the patches that have come out since launch since I don't do runs myself yet for it, and I just have Scarlet. But yeah, it wasn't immediately discovered at release since Violet was more popular and simply more speedrunners were running that game, but over time that's been the running theory as to why scarlet runs just a bit faster. PulseEffects talks about it more in their video on the history of SV speedrunning!

I searched for one as I want to race a friend to a bingo for scar/vio but I can't seem to find one online. The ones I know don't have scarlet or violet cards and searching shows resume for bunch of "predictions cards*
