I caught this big rainbow on my first cast of the day trying a Joe's flies spinner

Joe's flies spinners have been around for many years. I remember using them when I was a teenager fishing in the Laurel Mountains in Pennsylvania! I'm 66yrs old, this will kind of give an idea of how long they've been around!

Thank you for your comment. I've been using them since I was a teenager as well. It's something about the way it feels when a trout hits them that keeps me using those spinners. This video was me trying one for the first time that day. I should've specified that better

You think they want to "go down" however in my experience fly fishing in tumbling water, they never do.

One fine trout - trust you ate him! Too many of those thrown back in "catch and release" die anyway.

Thank you. I release a lot of them but that one ended up being made into trout salad.
