A "special" shiny from a shaking rock or tree was actually my very first shiny in this game. I had a shiny Geodude pop out of a rock on the back side of the Obsidian Highlands camp. Caught me TOTALLY off guard! Also John, random side note but I have a very fun story for you personally. Last night as I was doing a massive mass outbreak in the mirelands, I was clearing out an Unown swarm. Afterwards while looking through my box of the Pokemon I caught, I saw that the letters I happened to catch were O-N-Y-X-J-H-!-N-Y-H I randomly thought to myself, can I spell anything here? As it turns out, I was able to spell "JOHNNY!" (with a few extra letters thrown in)

2 of the 4 shiny alphas I’ve found were non-static, non-outbreak shinys. Both of them were during mmo’s, they just weren’t in outbreaks lol.

The shiny luck is real. Yesterday I played Pokémon Scarlet for the first time since I've been subscribed, and found a full odds shiny Psyduck minutes into the play session. This is my first playthrough (yes, I'm late to the party), before the first gym.
