doesn't the game give you a warning if you attempt to start without a cofee bean when you use mushrooms?

Fun fact: ambush zombies (zombies from graves, coming out of the pool, and bungee zombies) only come at the final wave of a round in survival. (Wave 2, 4, etc. For endless) If you use an ice shroom just before the final wave arrives, the ambush zombies never come.

6:06 - I never understood why you HAVE to use coffee bean on hypno-shroom. The goal of hypno-shroom is to be eaten, but for some reason if it's not awake while being consumed, it doesn't achieve it's goal? Hypno-shroom with coffee bean gets eaten and hypnotises the zombie; but for some reason, without coffee bean, it still gets eaten but doesn't hypnotise the zombie. It still has all the chemicals (or whatever it uses to hypnotise the zombies) within itself while it's asleep, but if it's consumed this way it does nothing. So does the chemical composition or even the genetic makeup of the hypno-shroom completely change based on the time (or whether it's awake or asleep) in order to explain the changes in the effect once digested? And because you can use it as intended without the coffee bean at night, it's hypnotising effect has nothing to do with the coffee bean. This implies that it's effectiveness changes based on the time of day, hence, whether it's awake or not. And since it has to be consumed to have any effect whatsoever, this suggests that the genetic makeup or chemical composition of the plant drastically change based on whether or not it's awake; hence, how it can work while awake via coffee or at night, but if consumed while asleep it does nothing. I get that this is probably for balance purposes and I'm reading WAY too much into it, because if you could use it regardless of time of day or stage it has the potential to be OP. But still, I just can't get over how if it's eaten asleep it's useless; and if it's eaten awake it hypnotises the zombie.

I have a problem aside from this... Am I the only one who complaining for Chomper cuz, it is too slow to swallow the zombie? Even if the Chomper has big mouth. Regardless, Zombie can eat Chomper for like 3 seconds even if the zombie has small mouth :|

Tested both of those, the Scaredy Shroom does indeed work for that column, but the Gatling Pea only half-works. Gatling Pea has more variation in the heights of the peas it shoots than the other peashooters do, so around half of the peas make it over the slant while the rest don't. I don't think it's really worth doing in most situations. My best guess for why the Scaredy Shroom works is to make them slightly more useful on roof levels, since being forced to place them on the right side of the screen makes them more likely to hide and gives them less of an advantage over Puff-shrooms.

This video was particularly interesting to watch, I think it showcases your "think on the fly"-skills better than many of your other videos! I'm impressed with how you handled some of these situations.

I just love how these ten flags brought alot of what would threaten a gatling pea defense. Screendoors, zombonis and catapults. Add some ladders and you'd be done.

I tested that on mobile, it doesn't work at all. The cactus just shoots into the slope like you'd expect. I couldn't find anything about it on the wiki either so I don't think it's a feature on any platform unfortunately.

I’d never noticed how the potato mines light flashes faster when a zombie is near until just now.

Chalange: use random number picker and pick plant by number shown. (1 sunflower, 2 peashoter, etc)

Good recovery! With a whole column free im surprised you didnt bring ice shrooms. Also, one other thing you could have done is make a column of fume shrooms in front of the torchwoods to get that piercing damage into the incoming hoards

You had a very good opportunity to fill the entire third column with Ice-Shrooms to wake them up when needed

Challenge: You can only use insta-kill plants (chomper, cherry bomb, potato mine, etc.) on day mode

I’m currently trying a 2 seed slots challenge myself. I’m on 2-2 right now. The bucket heads and cone heads are scary zombies for me. I haven’t encountered football zombies but I know they will be a threat for me. I’m relying on puff shroom spam.

Have ya tried the no sunflower/sunshroom challange yet? Any difficulty, any level. You can use night if you want difficulty on say easy to spice things up, just a suggestion though, you don't have to choose it.

BTW detera you can avoid ambush zombies on the flag by using ice shroom but you need good timing as soon as the red flag zombie appears ice shroom should be awake to freeze the zombies and stop the ambush zombies. It works! Trust me! works on roof, fog, night, and pool except day cuz there is no ambush zombies

Im so, so used to pvz Brutal mode that whenever I see vanilla, I get confused. Specially with newspapers and your lack of fear.

Idea: Plants Vs Zombies but harder The rules are simple: You play Adventure Mode after you beat it once, but during the level you can only use the plants that's available in the first run. So if you play 1-4, you can only use Sunflower, Peashooter, Wall-nut and Potato Mine. Also for the entire game, you can't use more than 3 purple seed slots, if your choice is Cattail, Twin-Sunflower and Gloom-shroom, you only use them after you get 3-4, and you can't use any other for the entire mode. And also, no Imitator allowed
