Oki. With combos, you are still close to your opponent and don't have to work your way back in. It is better potential damage.

I think people do the strike for the okizeme, which is huge for a grappler. I have seen people use it when it’ll kill, like Luke’s DDT

Mained Gief in ST and used him in SF4, cant stand him since SFV since they removed his green hand. Lariat being your only combo ender is boring as hell.
