Despite the recent calls for him to resign or dissolve parliament because of the controversial finance bill 2024, the Kenyan President William Ruto has vowed that he will not do any of that because it will amount to a breach of the Kenyan constitution and rule of law

That's a new one. I don't think I've ever heard an authoritarian leader claim he's legally not allowed to step down before.
