I kinda like those grooves on folds areas. But even Kipsta has it on much lower price. You have to be 100kg Donnarumma with Popeye like forearms to use strapless gloves without chance of wrist injury.

😂😂 I love the popeye forearm simile! The cuts aren’t bad it’s the embossing style that they used for the newer model which is more durable but since it’s heated on it’s not as sticky as the normal style

I've recently switched to strapless. 3 months later I have a broken wrist 🙃

The Adidas predator zones pro back from 2014 is still the best gloves I've ever used. The double-layer latex on the finger area just feels amazing.

Lol my boy just snapped, I remember the 2014/15 edition was the shit... they're so good that de Gea still has his gloves modified after them 🥺

I had the Ace Trans FT Training gloves in 2017 and they were the best gloves I’ve ever had. I loved them. Wish I’d bought a dozen pairs at the time. No adidas gloves have really done the business for me since.

Bruh; since like 2012 they have been doing that. Kaliaaer is dope aslong as they UP their heat press material to better material on the backhand, and higher-end neoprene polyester as well, but don't get me wrong, I bought the Alter Ego's: Blue/Volt, and can't wait for an all white pair; or a new model.

I managed to find a brand new pair of Adidas ace zones pro from 2015 in superb condition about 2 weeks ago at a really low price . I absolutely love them

I'll be honest here . Despite general opinions on these gloves , I actually do love it alot . Only downside is the wrist strap. My way of making up for the lack in performance in some areas is to put on tapes. Makes one hell of a difference . Overall 8.5/10, 10/10 on flexibility and comfort.

Interesting vid man ! Not played for like 3/4 years now but back when I was playing all I used to wear was adidas, used to love their old ace gloves. Probably had about 10 pairs !

Couldn't agree more with all of this, Adidas has become obsessed with gimmicks in its glove and boot models (laceless boots for example). My favourite pair of gloves were the Predator Zones Pro. Then the next year I got the replacement model, I think the Ace Zones Pro, and was so disappointed in the quality. Sadly that was only the start of the decline. Seeing all the negative changes since has been baffling, especially removing the wristband, but Adidas and Nike can do almost whatever they want and still make money with their brand appeal and marketing.

Yes!!!! They have the brand to go ahead and do whatever they want but lately their GK quality has taken a nasty turn towards gimmicks

I've worn these gloves for two years. First the 1.0 and now 2.0. I prefer the padding and comfort of the 2.0 but I do agree that the grip does not last at all on these gloves.

I loved the old Predador trans Pro. I own the newest adidas gloves, but I kinna hate the latex without actual strap. Yeah maybe its more comfortable, but I dont feel more confident with them.

You should review the under armour magnetico premier keeper gloves I'm very curious about how they perform and you have the best keeper channel on youtube!

I have switched to Uhlsport (currently - Absolutgrip Reflex) after Addidas removed straps from their pro models. I'm fully sadisfied. Wrapped latex in Reflex cut models is great! Strapping system is also nice however I would still prefer elastic Adidas straps over Uhlsport solution.

I just got these gloves, and enjoy them a lot. However, the latex with me also did not come with any protection, and they simply are not sticky enough for high level performance.

The ones from 2018 were the best gloves imo I miss them so much 😕

Used the new Predators for half a season and carried away two finger injurys (my first in 10 years), they need more stability and material

Amazing video, but the music is a bit too loud when the training shots are in, and i think if you aproach this form of video only from behind the table or having sections, where you'd only show saves while talking about durability or just simply some music, and where you only show the glove itself, with some talking under! That's just my oppinion, absolutely enjoy your videos, keep it up! Love from Hungary❤

i can get some Adidas Ace18 Ultimate for 40 euros is that a good deal? and should i go half a size down to negate the extra space for when i remove the wristcontrol and fingersafes?

I have been feeling the same way. I have stopped using Adidas and Nike gloves. The quality of the glove has been going down. I have started using West Coast Goalkeeping Gloves for everyday games. The fit and grip is amazing. I really enjoy Internal Silicone Gel Grip. It keeps my hands from slipping around when I am wearing them. I have been thinking about trying out Kaliaar and seeing how they are. Thank you for your content. I really enjoy your videos.

Decent glove (found them for 40 bucks so they are totally worth that much)...still I am a lifelong Uhlsport fan.

Hey ARS, why exactly is it so important to have wrapped thump etc.? I tried googling but got no proper results. For example there are these Adidas gloves with every finger wrapped (like the fingers have latex fingernails :D), whats the benefit of that, since those are not parts of the glove that will really touch the ball. When you close your hands especially the thumb around the ball your thumb turns in. You do not use the finger pad as much when you are catching you use mostly the outside corner of your thumb. If you watch my video on the Nike mercurial review I show exactly how not having the rolled thumb can cause the ball to slip out easier. Ergonomically the rolled thumb is much better for holds

I’ve heard a lot of good stuff about the sells glove just never used it before. with the uhlsport supergrip + I’m currently looking at the finger surround en also never used that cut before. Just looking for a better glove !

Can you recommend me some gloves that are good fit with negative cut or roll finger and could they be for junior?

I bounce between a lot, right now been super into the Vg3, the latest one glove line esp the negative cuts and anything uhlsport

I am very disappointed in the new adidas gloves. I tried West Coast GK and now they are my favorite.

Mate I used to wear Adidas all the time, my favourite gloves of all time are the Adidas Fingertip model from like the late 90s but I wouldn't go anywhere near Adidas now, way too expensive for such average performing gloves. Same can be said for Boots though. Adidas gloves and boots have seen a massive drop off since about 2018 I would say.

Imo Adidas has been trying to release new tech and dope designs last few years once they switched to make demon skin ones rather than focusing on the basics tho. They stopped making traditional FT models and stuff like that even they are still making promo models with wrapped tips.

Best pair of goalie gloves that I ever had was a pair of umbros from about 20 years ago. I used them all the time for years for about 7 seasons and only got rid of them as my hands wouldn't fit anymore in them.

I have been watching your videos to get a good sense of what I am looking to buy, so they have been helpful. I have skinny long fingers so I have been having a hard time finding a pair that fits at my price point, especially at a negative cut. Wish me luck!
