0:00-0:53 what i'm up to!
0:54-6:28 day 1 cork to the ring of kerry & glenbeigh
6:29-10:13 day 2 valentia islands & ring of kerry cont.
10:14-12:56 day 3 limerick & galway
12:57-15:48 day 4 dublin!
The route we did:
DAY 1 Drive from Dublin straight to Cork (we'll come back at the end!)
DAY 2 Drive from Cork to see the Blarney Castle, the Torq Waterfall, and enjoy part of the Ring of Kerry and Killarney National Park. Stay in Glenbeigh...I'm glad we stayed here instead of Dingle so we could do more exploring in this particular area.
DAY 3 Explore Valentia Islands, Cliffs of Kerry, and the rest of the Ring of Kerry. We stayed in Glenbeigh for a second night but you could also move to Dingle.
DAY 4 Drive to Limmerick, Cliffs of Moher, and finally Galway.
DAY 5 Drive from Galway back to Dublin and enjoy!

It took me 5 years living out of Ireland to realise how beautiful our little island is, so much on our doorstep and yet we don’t realise. I moved home just before covid, the travel bans made me rediscover the west coast. It’s incredible ☘️

I had a similar experience discovering one of my home states, Maine, here in the US. It’s incredible to see just how much there is at home.
Oh my goodness, I’m moving to Ireland TOMORROW for a year, and you’re one of my favorite creators, so this video came at the absolute perfect time!! Thank you Elena! ❤️

Thats not true
From a Cork person, you missed out hugely by not giving Cork a decent chance. There’s so much to see and do here - fantastic food scene, gorgeous coastal villages, amazing live music - you should come back and explore more!

In fairness, she only had 5 days to check out the country! She hadn't the time to give Cork a "decent chance." I'm born and raised in Cork buddy, but we're not ACTUALLY the center of the universe, y'know?😉

@@sk-23. haha we’re definitely not the centre of the universe. My comment was based on the fact that she actually came to Cork, but judged the city without really trying much of what it has to offer.
Ireland is a magical place. It's that simple, If you're thinking about going, don't think, JUST GO.❤

As a Bengali🇧🇩 it's my dream to visit this country. But it's sad that there's very few vlogs about this country. I want to learn more. I'm 17 and not that rich to travel there, but InshaAllah oneday I will. Turkey and Ireland are my dream country❤❤❤❤❤❤
It's actually wild how much tourists fit in to a 5 day trip to Ireland . If you suggested this to an Irish person they would laugh in your face and be like "nah... thanks I'm going to Spain"- Fair play to you guys ! PS Galway is definitely the best city, not biased at all as a Galway girl ;)

True! I think this works for almost every country in Europe. I’ve met people who told me they’ve done a 6/7 day trip in Italy from North to South. But it’s impossible to see everything of course. Us Italians would never do that 😅

Tbh I lived in London for nearly ten years but I only really did the tourist sights recently on a trip over with my kids. When you live in a place it’s often just nicer to get away. Ps, Galway is my favourite city, and that’s from a Fermanagh guy.

love love loved this, i live in Belfast so I’m anticipating exploring the rest of Ireland very soon
Absolutely loved this Elena💕
If ye are coming over to Ireland again & if ye come to visit sligo I'll show ye around. Loads of beach's, mountains, trails, waterfalls, live music. All around the coast of Ireland the scenery everywhere is amazing & peaceful. Nothing like getting away from the hectic city life. Gives us much greater perspective on life & what's truly important. Plus the blast of fresh air near the ocean is something else. Your only getting a wee taste of the County's over 5 days. You could of easily of seen more in Cork, kerry & Dublin by doing 5 days in one place. But as a first time here glad ya enjoyed your visit.
Loved this video! Can’t wait on visit Ireland
Ah my dream! I make KZread videos in a similar spirit as you although right now I'm living and traveling across the North American continent on the road although this is making me crave going back to Europe! I am dying to visit Ireland one day! Beautiful vlog ❤
Omg I leave for Ireland in 2 days!!! Thank you so much for sharing this!!
Love Ireland. I’m a beach girl and have loved my South Pacific vacations, but I think Ireland has still been my favorite. The central coast of California kinda reminds me of Ireland,
Love your video you show Ireland well😊 I'm a irishman and I have exact same jacket as your friend 😅😅 had look twice 😊 he got great style 👍
Thank you 🙏 for this I’ve been trying to get to Ireland for awhile now but this video made me want to get there soon as possible. Both of you you did great job thank you for this seriously. I’m definitely going to go to the to the tork waterfall it felt so peaceful ✌️

Man id like to fall in love on the Irish coast
The Irish tourist people will love this adorable video .. nice !!!!
Elena, ty so much for this so beautiful vlog!! I'm Irish on my Mom's side, her Mom's name was Stout, Swedish on my dad's side! When you were walking through those trees by the Torq waterfall, I kept thinking the history that happened in those woods! The battles, all the Medieval history!!! And the Carrie area!! Oh my!! Again the history! So happy you were able to see that! If I went I'd live to see all those little towns built into the hills by the ocean. Someday!! Love you!! ❤❤❤

Hi There, Irish viewer here. I see from the footage that you did go through Dingle. For any visitors with a short visiting time, I'd recommend you drive the Dingle Penninsula rather than the Ring of Kerry. The Ring of Kerry is looooong, too much time in the car. Dingle Penninsula shorter so you can spend more time exploring. Sorry about the weather. We have had the Wettest Summer ever. Climate change bringing us more rain, like we needed it!!!
@gaothmhor

They made the right decision. You need nice bright light for the Cliffs.
Love this!!

we went to the cliffs of moher on a **super** windy day…the park was closed, but we went to see it anyways, and it was stunning! Hope you get to see it next time:) and ahhh the drone😢
That intro though 👀
Good job, delighted you both enjoyed your trip to our little island which is a special place 👍
I Love this Vlog so much. Ireland is AMAZING. Hoping that one day I get to go there too.

In Ireland we have 50/50 rain or sun. The problem is it rains or shines UNEXPECTEDLY!!! I do not want to hear the phrase "it rains all the time" especially from Irish people.
this video is soo good Elena! -S. 😊
Sweet work 🎉🎉
a couple months ago I finally got to visit with my kids our homeland in Killarney-Glenbeigh, where my clan used to live before my ancestors migrated (about 1680 after the British defeated the irish rebels in Ross Castle and confiscated their lands) to the basque country, and then serving in the Spanish Royal Navy to Guam, the Philippines and finally S. America. Killarney: it was a marvelous come-back after 300 years...!! greetings fom wild, wet, windy, and wonderful Western Patagonia
The gift of the gab isnt about how much you talk but more about what you say it or how you say it. The type of person who can talk themselves out of trouble be it through charm, humour or sincerity has the gift of the gab. For an easy day trip out of Dublin that doesnt involve lots of driving I would suggest the Powerscourt Estate at the foot of the Wicklow mountains. It is home to the No.3 top garden in the world. Beside it is the Powerscourt waterfall which at 400ft is the highest in Ireland. Further on is Glendalough with its famous 6th century church and round tower which was a refuge from viking attacks. Then the road out of Glendalough leads to Sallys Gap which overlooks the Guinness lake. This lake and the land was owned by the Guinness family and the lake looks like a pint of Guinness. The Sally gap is so rustic and barren at the top of the Wicklow mountains its hard to believe your only an hour from Dublin city centre. Co. Wicklow is also known as the garden of Ireland.
Your vlog is fantastic. Just a note (not a criticism) your music was at times louder than what you were saying. I couldn't make out.
I'm leaving for Ireland in 6 days and doing a very very similar road trip to this! I am so excited.

Bring your waterproofs with you, the rain is torrential! Also, the country is gripped by the Rugby World Cup.
Hey Elena, following your ancestry do visit Poland next 😅 I do recommend Krakow as a start. But also Wrocław, Warsaw and Gdańsk. It ain’t Ireland (not as green and beautiful nature-wise) but for sure it is interesting, rich in history and different than the other countries you visited this summer so far. Cheers!

That's a shame...only 5 days in Ireland. My wife and I just got back from 2 weeks in Ireland and 3 days in Wales and that was way too short of time to really explore the beauty of this land. We have many friends there and spent a good portion of our trip visiting them. Our stay overs were Dublin, Aherlow, Dingle, Doolin, Galway, Clifden, Cong, Maynooth then off to Wales for 3 days with another good friend. We had a blast and will be returning for a longer stay as we have an open invitation to use our friends house in Abbeyfeale as a home base.
FYI the voice over audio as you’re explaining the ring of Kerry was drowned out by the music and we can’t hear what you say haha

OOPS I thought I deleted that voice over audio track....
She looks like a fun person to be around 😊
Probably one of the few travel vlogs I didn’t finish watching.
As a Cork person, Cork city probably isn't the best part of Cork especially depending where you are staying!! I'm from Kinsale and its so lovely, as is West Cork (though locals will tell you that west cork only begins at Clonakilty / Rosscarbery) - in my opinion some of the most beautiful spots in the country!! Cork city has its charms and its spots but you need to know them - the Marina Market is an amazing indoor food market with such good spots you should definitely go to if you ever come back! UCC the university has some gorgeous buildings and greenery on its campus too. I know you were trying to fit as much in as possible in 5 days but I think the main thing that's nice about Ireland is the scenery and finding the secret spots which you need more time in a place!! Glad you enjoyed it in general though and Galway is honestly an amazing city, one of my favourite places as a Cork gal!!
I enjoyed your video, thanks for it. Just a couple of points to add - politically most Irish people consider the whole island as one country - ie there is no 'Republic' and 'Northern' - it's just Ireland. You completed a loop of the Southern half of the country - a similar loop for the Northern half would be roughly Dublin - Belfast - Antrim coast- Derry - Donegal - Sligo- Galway - Dublin
@raymonddixon7603

Yes I noticed this too. And as a Tyrone man I definitely agree with you - that she should visit Donegal with its abundance of quiet beautiful beaches, mountains and long coastline
Glenbeigh is an amazing beach. One of my favourites!
Next time you go check out the Aran Islands, they are one of my favorite places, you can get the boats from Doolin. Also the Burren national park, and Connemara national park are beautiful places. There is so much to do, you really need more that 5 days next time! Also if you like coffee, in Dublin there is a coffee shop called 3fe, if it’s still there, really friendly staff and good coffee. Great video Btw.
I swear, as an Irishman, if I see another one of those yank tour videos
At 10:19, that's Ennistymon. I'm pretty about this as I'm looking right at my house.... 😄 It's a great little town worth visiting by itself though!

Great coffee and toasties in The Cheese Press
I love that you went to Ireland!! I have such a soft spot for that country, I always have. last summer I went to Ireland for 2 weeks-- I stayed in Dublin for one, and then did a week long roadtrip with an Irish friend of mine who lives in the Arran Islands. we did all the spots you didn't lol-- we went from the arran islands to wicklow to galway and the cliffs of moher, to mullingar for the fleagh chaoil (sorry if thats spelled wrong) -- which is irelands largest trad music festival. was magical.
It's GAUL way, and thanks for the visit. You had a great trip!
So amazing😊❤
Glad you had a good time in my beautiful country ☘️☘️☘️ Come back , you're both welcome 🙏 😊
OMG Ireland is my dreeeeeaaaaaam
Lovely. Beautiful video quality - you missed out on a lot but only 5 days. If you return there's a trail from Doolin to the Cliffs - one of the most spectacular trails I've been on. Also Doolin phenom trad music and fish and chips stellar at Gus O'Connors place.
Enjoyed this
As an Irish person, top tips for visiting are: get drunk in Dublin and Galway city for 2 nights (do not go to Cork city). Do the Cliffs of Moher, they really are stunning. Then fly out of here.
Omg wish I knew you were here. I'm from Cork
Wait so y'all just left the drone out in the cow fields!? Lmfao wow my poor ass is screaming rn 😅😅😅 Anyway, enjoyed this video! Such beautiful places omg 😍😍
Beara is so often overlooked its baffling... there's nowhere else quite like it. People doing west Cork normally just go from Kinsale to Mizen head or the sheeps head but IMO from a road trip perspective Beara is the best in the country. Also Comparing Cork to Killarney is chalk and cheese, one is an industrial port city, the other is a town whose industry is tourism, lol. Clonakilty or Kinsale would be a fairer comparison.
need to go!
I really enjoyed this, and the aspects that caught your attention that don't seem 'that' special to a Brit but, you know, really are lovely. I did shout 'blackberries!' At one point but that's part of the fun. I'm going to watch a few more now.

Ireland is like a cleaner richer version of Britain
You missed the best part which is Co Galway, so wild, so stunning and of course the beautiful Lough Corrib.
Been to Cork a couple of times.. agree, not much there to get excited about other than the English Market.
Hey I live on the old butter road (cork) on the way to Kerry - 1st time seeing it on KZread - great Vid - glad ye enjoyed!
top notch vlog, well done really enjoyed it.. and no Leprechaun mentioned . regards Robert ledwith from the irish midlands.
Magical country ❤
Amazing video! You did SO much in 5 days, wow. I'm in Ireland for 9 months, traveling around, but I'm moving so much slower than you haha. I suppose I'd be more speedy if I only had 5 days.
Do we know what month they went on this trip? Just curious from their outfits if its summer.
Lovely whirlwind visit to some of Irelands beautiful scenery, really sad you did not see the cliffs of Moher, they are epic and dwarf anything you saw in Kerry, l live 40 minutes from the cliffs so I may be somewhat biased. Did you travel along the coast road through the Burren? stunning scenery there as you make your way to Galway. Love to see an extended version. Thanks for coming home to Ireland.
Iwas in Ireland about 10 years ago and just.loved it…….so beautiful, 50 shades of green, and who knew there were white sandy beaches with turquoise water…..the people are wonderful…………Donna in Toronto

You missed Carlow/Kilkenny..Inisteoige,Gerpoint Abbey,Ardmore in Waterford
No to Cork? We were there in 1998 and had a blast! I can only imagine it's gotten even better since then.
Can I just jump in? Cork is not Just the Blarney stone and the City of Cork ,, West Cork is beautiful with many great Towns which are very Bohemian full of artists ,Writers , Poet's and Musicians.. Ballydehob is famous ,, In the late 60ts Bohemian Irealand was South Dublin, Achil Island, Galway, Westport, Doolen, Ring of Kerry, and West Cork..
