Held his own? Looks like a 3-0 from Lokesh to me, perhaps you watched a different video than I did. And none of the games were remotely close. Lokesh took a much better strat games 1 and 3, and ZigZagPower played DFI like he was in Yellow Stadium, constantly trying to choke rush his opponent and force a drain game while going a hyperpassive strategy.

@@iuseecoamp9795 He was holding his own, but Lokesh would bleed him out with anti-stall over the course of the matches. Yeah, it's 3-0, but every rush Lokesh hit him with basically had to be a lategame to do anything. Zig was mostly keeping up in farms and defense, particularly in the first match, but it was ultimately the anti-stall that lost him every match. People underestimate how even doing one thing to the max can win just about every match. Zig in particular seems better using early rushes or stall tactics(ice/glue), but he used dartling in the first two matches and wiz in the last, which while dartling is powerful and capable of being useful in the late game, is also reaaally expensive, and farms *suffer* against anti-stall, and wiz is a pretty good tower but suffers in effectiveness against Zomgs after the health starts increasing. The third match, Zig was definitely tilted by the anti-stalling, so he was a bit off his game. Anti-stall counters farms *hard,* so yes, Zig *definitely* held his own, he just so happened to lose each time.

@@mdbgamer556 You need to understand the nature of these strategies. HFI is a drain strategy. Its goal is specifically to force a low money game (with antistalling, etc), so the opponent is unable to defend. It's able to defend lategame for FAR cheaper than strats like Dartling farm, and able to stall to beat strats like DFA in lower money games. Dartling does farm extremely well, it's not surprising he was able to keep up with HFI (which had to actively overdefend & rush to force the drain game) with it. That just isn't good enough. Dartling needs high farms, not just to match the low farms of the opponent. The fact is that ZZP did not play the best he possibly could've played those, or anywhere remotely near. DFI and DFG are hyper passive strategies. They need the bank or BIA as early as physically possible. ZZP was rushing hard, essentially forcing a drain game which dartling has no win condition in. In order to beat a decent HFI player, DFG or DFI needs a r11 bank at the very latest. On Dread, it's easily possible and that's the main game in this video that there's major misplays in. The DFI player in that matchup on dread should only send anything between r3 and r20+ if it's going to hurt the opponent's antistall without harming its own farms too much. Spaced blacks on r6/r7 for example, would be a very smart play. Instead, ZZP decided to send a r9 rush. The rush didn't really force anything, but even if it did, it would be a game-ending misplay. He delayed his bank by at least a round with that, which once again, cannot be later than r11 if DFI wants to outlast HFI. Then he continued rushing, such as on r13 when he wasted $2000+. Forcing a drain game with the most passive strategy in the game is the easiest way to guarantee your loss. I have a lot of experience playing DFI on Dread, I can assure you that that matchup against HFI is very winnable. It is true that on Offside, Dartling farm glue cannot win. That's true against basically any strategy, by the way. Dart farm completely destroys it too, as would wiz farm, HFI, NFE, or just about any other strategy. That's because the strategy has no real advantage on maps like that. It's an incredible lategame strategy (albeit just an inferior version of DFI) on long maps like Dread and Roadblock, but that won't work on shorter maps where you can't farm as hard. It's also a terrible drain strategy, for it isn't able to defend for cheap. HFI's defending capability is the main reason it's the drain strategy by far. Playing a losing strategy, though, isn't an excuse for losing. You should've taken something that works instead. I completely disagree that he held his own. None of these games were even remotely close, and only in the first one was the strategy truly at fault.

Zigs client side hasn't processed the damaged balloons so it looks like Lok is bleeding a lot. If you were to watch a replay on battles tv you would see the balloons properly pop.

depends on the map. Passive dartling wins on long maps like swamp and dread. Even against full agro antistall strats you are guaranteed a round 11 bank if you greed correctly

@@jg6551 You need full map BIAs to outlast HFI or DFA. Swamp and most other long maps dont have enough farm spots to pull it off. Only maps in normal arena where passive dartling works are Dread and Roadblock. Against HFI, the best drain strat in the game, DFI is very difficult to pull off. When played perfectly, it definitely wins, but even a slight overdefend could cost you the game. Of course, you could also play it like ZigZagPower did here, where you force a drain game for some reason, and lose every time.

@@edwardg.135 r11 is an understatement. DFI can consistently pull off a r10 bank on Dread when played correctly against a max antistall. If the opponent doesn't antistall, you're guaranteed a r9 bank. Both of these cases allow DFI to get a r14 BIA with 400+ eco, which is barely enough for it to win if the opponent farms well (r11 bank usually == loss). On its maps, Roadblock and Dread, it's basically impossible for DFI to lose to anything other than HFI, which is the strongest drain strategy in the game. I do agree that on the majority of maps, Dartling does not work in the slightest. Strats like dartling bomb and glue are just awful. You're either going to force a drain game and lose, since dartling is more expensive to defend with than the majority of towers (notably Dart and Heli, it's very clear why DFA and HFI have been 2 of the best strategies for years), or you're going to play passive, not be able to farm hard enough, and be barely able to even defend a single r32 ZOMG.

Heli is op but hard to play. It's just like the darling but it take up more space and they cost about the same but heli is better in my opinion.

Maybe it's because I'm not sure how everything works, but at 4:00, why was he not taking damage? so many bloons went through and no HP was leaked. I'm pretty sure one spikes did not cover all of that. And this happened a few times throughout your match with him, what am I missing?
