We had those when we were growing up along with the silver tinsel. The bubble lights. The huge Christmas tree bulbs. The rotating multicolored light that you aimed up at the metal tree to get it to change colors. You did not put real lights on them, at least we didn’t.

I'd always wanted one of those trees and then my husband found one in his mom's attic. Its a bear to put together, but so pretty, and I'm glad I dont have to buy one on ebay!! Always love seeing the things in your videos!

I still have my aluminum tree from 1962 & have used it many times since. About 1983 I found a set of branches without the trunk at Goodwill. They are slightly thicker than my originals. I drilled more holes in my tree trunk to match the existing, put the fat branches at the bottom & the skinny ones up top. I still use it every 4-6 years alternating with others in my stash. It's also been used on stage for school plays, at SciFi conventions, & at my work office. The original price seemed expensive but it has well paid for itself.

The Christmas tree what do they go for because I have one original box and every limb is and has the original sleeves they go into and box sleeves and tree looks new and stands about 2-3ft tall. You missed even MORE! Plastic restoration is EASY. Hydrogen peroxide gel, brush onto object, cover with Saran wrap ensuring that there are no bubbles and place in the sun or UV light. The wrap is to prevent it from drying out. Wash and Inspect. An alternative is to WASH then use mini cooking torch. Far enough away to just warm it up. Torch works best on smooth plastic. Uses: headlights, games like Nintendo garage keypad, Kinetic Softener see through lens, etc.
