Also, one thing it could be is your software is moving everything onto the same cores, and restarting it puts it back onto all your cores. I don't know a permanent fix, but a temporary fix when this happens is to go into your task manager, go to "Details" tab, find the program lagging, right click it, click on "set affinity", and select all cores. If this is your issue, it stops you needing to restart the program if something needs to keep running

You know it's crazy how much I learn from watching frost play and explain his choices. I used to be stuck at A10 on all characters but I've pretty steadily climbed up to A17 with ironclad and silent, and A16 with defect and watcher. So thanks frost for being good at the game. Also I just finished an insane run with the silent, Pandora's box'd got 2 blade dances and found another 3 act 1 along with a kunai, it was also the first time I willing took runic dome and won a run.

I'm still kinda stuck at A9 but before I started watching frost last month I was really struggling with A1 on the ironclad, A2 on the silent and A0 on the defect and watcher lmao

dude, 1 month ago when i first took up the game, i literally couldn't win a single run, heck, i didn't even know what i was doing with my deck, i took some guide videos on youtube but they didn't help that much. But things changed rapidly ever since i watched Frost's, his videos are effortlessly funny and the choices that he makes are easy to follow, that's how i won my first Silent Run with Shivs. Now i'm at A6, A7 on different characters

@@omarg1471 as you're getting up in Ascension levels, the tougher enemies can really kick your butt, but if you keep going you'll get used to their new values and I'm sure you can do it. I'm honestly worried going into ascension 17 because my next 3 Ascension levels make enemies even harder

@@PhongNguyen-bz4hj Ascension 6 and 7 in a month? That's way faster than I got there. I started playing the game before the defect was even a character, I think I probably got to ascension 2 or maybe 3 before I took a break from the game which was maybe a month or 2 of trying to win. When the defect came out I tried to win runs with him and also only got to 2, when the watcher came out I started to play the game again and got stuck at 5 or 6 for the longest time but eventually I made it all the way up to 10, then after watching frost I'm now at 16 and 17. What I'm saying is you're doing way better than me when I started, so I'm sure you can keep climbing ascensions with some more tries

@@electrozauzage9615 yeah i think watching and copying others' build is what i'm basically the best at, and as long as it works out for me, i think it's an effective method. However, in the total of my +25 wins, i only got to the heart twice, simply because my deck can not counter the heart, or the heart straight up counters the deck, and that elite just completely demolished me before the boss.

Doesn't really work because usually when you draw it you also re-shuffle.

In case guy from chat asking about runic pyramid is here, or anyone else curious to hear more thoughts on it, here’s a few tips I’ve learned after my time over the years. You sort of have to change the way you think about your deck. Draw can be much less useful if you have no way to get cards out of your hand. If you have draw, make sure you have the energy to use what you draw, or a means to get rid of it. Exhaust, discard, and energy generators/upgrades can help with this. Also, holding more cards at once almost shortens your deck in a way. If you’re holding a good portion of your deck at all times, you’re effectively cycling the cards that do leave your hand most often, even faster. Hope this was interesting or provided a little more insight to anyone looking for it.

The problem new players have with runic pyramid is that, while it makes a good deck great, it makes a bad deck worse. So if you arent a great player, take some bad cards, have too many strikes/defends etc etc your hand can get filled with garbo. Of course im not saying its bad im just saying that its only valuable if you are already good at the game and can build an efficient deck without it

@@yaoitiddieexpert1486 Defunitely agree, when I was newer to the game my biggest problem with pyramid was adding way too many cards into the deck and never being able to draw the scaling I needed to clear space in the hand.

@@pg-erk3938 if you have Runic Pyramid, every card stays in your hand, including curses and statuses, except those that exhaust themselves, and Burn. Runic can screw you if you take on too many statuses and/or curses without a way to discard/exhaust them.

@@pg-erk3938 Any curse/status that isn't ethereal and doesn't specifically do something at the end of your turn stays in hand if you have Pyramid. Wounds, Slimes, and several different curses do this; the most dangerous curses being Normality and Pain. Necronomicurse is also annoying since you can't exhaust it.
