"I Can Feel the Fire" -- Rod Stewart & The Faces
Музыка
An incendiary live performance by the Faces, from 1975.
"I Can Feel the Fire" was written by Ronnie Wood and Mick Jagger and first released on Wood's 1974 solo album "I've Got My Own Album to Do." Evidently it slipped into the Faces' last live shows, as this scorching performance demonstrates. Easily the best version of the song.

I saw them twice in '75. First was in March at The Cow Palace with Foghat opening. The second time was that summer in San Jose's Sparten Stadium. East Bay Stroke, War and Peter Frampton were the opening bands. Jesse Ed Davis was on guitar with Faces. A super day.
I'd die to footage of this! Best rock band ever?? Might very well be. Love ronnie in the stones but with Faces he was solid gold!

Superb performance, proof positive that FACES stopped way too soon, the whole show is life-affirming!
I saw this show in September that year. Woody just got off the Stones tour saw that show as well. The Faces were a better show.

Please can you refer to this band as 'Faces' and not 'Rod Stewart & The Faces' or 'The Faces'. They were never known officially as either of these names. Ta. :)

You are technically correct. However these past decades both Ronnie and Rod when they're talking about the band refer to them as "The Faces" and never just "Faces". Also the last tour they were billed as "Rod Stewart and The Faces". Some shows were billed as "Rod Stewart and Faces". But yes, the band was officially called "Faces".
