As someone who's unknowingly attracted so many narcissists into my life and now living with one, my sister, this was so hard to watch bcos the more you shared, it brought up soooo much of ill treatment and shit I was put through and none of them had empathy, neither were apologetic and yes purely TRANSACTIONAL. The extent such people go to come up with all sorts of lies and gaslighting is soo bizzare!! I found out after 2 yrs of leaving a narcissist that he lied to me all the while of his office location until one day I got a call from that office regarding a ticket and the officer told me there was never an office at the location that Narc said he was working at. I got CHILLs bro. I almost went insane with this guy hence dropped him after 6 mths. What a gruesome ride it was.

My mum is clinically diagnosed with NPD as well. My dad stuck around with her for so long for our sakes but leaving her was probably the best decision he ever made for himself and the family. @@chillblue1650 That's exactly what I said if you read my comment. In cases like NPD, if you're fully aware that there is a problem, you really need to be willing to change. Unfortunately my mum wasn't, and still isn't, willing to accept that she's ever been in the wrong and that she needs help (even though she's been formally diagnosed with npd), and that just hurts herself and everyone who loves her. The thing about NPD is that it often prevents people from acknowledging that there even is a problem to begin with.

This video and this comment section feels like a warm hug. On one hand it sucks to know that there so many people undiagnosed people out here with NPD/ or a at least a lot of narcissistic traits running around and destroying a persons peace of mind, health, view on love and life on general. On the other hand though I am happy to know that I am not the only one who went through something similar. There were times where I felt alone and tbh crazy? Like am I tripping ? Is it all my fault? Sometimes I even felt like I am the narcissist because you get so brainwashed at one point it’s fucking scary what it does to your mental health. I’m glad that the whole topic is discussed more publicly. But there’s room for way more. NPD awareness should be taught in school, because often times NPD starts developing early on the childhood. There’s should be classes about mental health in general.. it’s really fucking needed man

It's crazy I really do get flashbacks, at first ppl said my ex seemed innocent amd sweet but he was secretly the worst. I'd be throwing up coz stomach sensitivity and nothing! No reaction not even offering water. One time he was in a room playing games with a friend and his friend seemed more concerned than him. It's things like that I notice now was soo soo off and trust it only got worse overtime. I was taking care of him the manchild whilst grieving, I ended up homeless; the list goes on. This is why we have to research who we are dating especially in 2023, imagine if you had a child or ended up getting married to someone after discovering all of this. Yes, unfortunately, I married and had kids with a narcissist, and he was exactly how you are saying they are, he was good tho, becasue he had his true self for 2 years ... I am 31 years old and I just separated from him recently. It was hard but I don't cry everyday anymore, and no more holidays and birthdays are ruined, no more abuse or gaslighting..so that's great and the kids are safe with me.
