My favorite indestructible small scale basher is the Tekno ET410.2 Truggy. It says 1/10 scale but it's the same size as the Rlaarlo 1/12 /1/14 truck. It's the skatepark king 68 mph on rails beast. But there is a catch. It's a kit you have to build. 449.99 just for the kit. Castle combo another $250 Servo $30. You are looking at almost $800 all set and done. 😂 It's worth every penny as I have had it 3 years not one broken part. Just had to replace tires every few months as it's a burn out machine. You win this round cause of the price. lol

Nice! I keep saying I’m gonna get an MT410. Those seem like true 1/10 scales I feel like. I think they have RTR versions of that one but I’d spring for the kit anyway! Glad I won this one! 😃🤣

Great build. It performs excellent. You can put the 12mm by 20mm hot racing hex extensions on the Associated Reflex MT to widen it. I also used the Rlaarlo 1/12 buggy shocks on the Reflex 1/14 MT and it will land nice and cushy.

I just bought the hbx 2997a from watching your videos it's my first but I have a question if I want to do some mods how do I no what batteries will work or what wheels and tires or motor etc and thanks

For the battery you have to know if you want a 2s or a 3s and match the size to fit in the tray. Then make sure the connectors are the same as what comes with your ESC. Motor sizes are typical 4 digits, so a 3652 is 36mm in diameter and 52mm in length. Just the motor can. So you just need to make sure it fits and that the pinion gear is the same pitch for the spur gear (which in this car is called .6 MOD and needs to be 16 teeth) and fits on the motor shaft of the motor you get. This is the best pinion gear I’ve found: amzn.to/3LCNB2r The wheels need a 12mm hex and you may need these extensions for larger wheels: amzn.to/3SiGhMP I hope that helps. It’s actually easy it’s just a lot of information to start with. It’s all pretty standard once you do it once.

Those folks that can’t fit a larger battery due to a shorter strap is an easy fix to just add some sticky Velcro , sliding through the existing Velcro buckle on the original strap and peeling enough off to fold over the buckle and add on to the exitisting strap is working for me and holding tight . I can get a good cpl inches of Velcro stick which is enough imo. I guess one could even send a needle with thread through the fold over for even better gold but mine is just fine . I took a 1/4 “ off the strip to make the same width .

Now you got to make two more and send them to Team A and HBX and tell them, "This is what we want" that mailbox stunt Max did was incredible! he could be a new add on to "DUDE PERFECT!" and your little axe thrower and sword knife wielder may have a future on "Forged in Fire" I do like that reflex though quite a bit. That servo is smaller than the 2996a servo so it won’t fit. I have not yet looked into a replacement for the 299x series!

Not either of these, but the H14BM, YES! The hypergo esc I used in this truck initially was an older model that does not have the 5 button feature. Its always in nuts mode and just can’t be turned down to no nuts mode 😃

Fantastic job on the ''Vs'' video and your 1/14 scale build as well I was actually thinking of getting my hands either a Reflex 14B Gamma/Ongaro or a Reflex 14MT? The MT seems to have issues with there servos going bad right out of the box in a few videos I've seen on here hopefully they maybe got that issue all worked by now?? Oh! Thanks man! Ya on my review of the 14MT from a few months ago, the servo broke very early on (1 or two big jumps on concrete of course). No problems with the replacement yet and they covered it under warranty. It could also always be upgraded. Definitely a good car, but I’d get an extra spur gear or two lol the stock size, I think the smaller one is too hard on the motor. Yup that mailbox shot was epic!!🤣

I’ll have to try to remember to look at it tomorrow, but I’d say there is space for it on the motor. Probably not on the esc without relocating it. It’s crammed in there pretty tight.

I’ve got hypergo H14BM, front bumper is a disaster, replaced it 4 times in less than 2 months, steering can be unstable, it flips super easily, it’s durable but somehow breaks parts or screws often? Upgraded to metal parts but no solution for badly designed front bumper, very frustrating but I can’t throw it away cuz I’m invested in it!

I put an extra rear bumper on there for now, I don’t use the lights anyway. There’s got to be a metal bumper that will fit this somewhere, dunno

@@DerbyCityRCAlso a strange layout with the receiver box sandwiched between the battery and steering servo. The hard case 3s battery they give you pushes that box into your servo and breaks it on impact. I’ve replaced it, but looking at this layout now it seems like a setup. lol

That’s a tough list of requirements right there. If you can muster another $15, it would definitely be this one: amzn.to/3vqUpeS There’s a coupon on there that makes it $165. It only comes with 2s batts though, so you need to grab some 3s ones if you want that.

Why would the receiver just brake like that is this common? Recently order that transmitter at least I think you had a Dumborc 350 and a bunch of gyro capable recievers.

That’s not common at all actually lol. Concrete landings are really hard on electronics so I think that’s what did it, but could have been faulty anyway.

Good suggestion! You get a little feel for what it does in my two latest “on-road” car videos, the dodge charger and the dodge challenger, but definitely no tutorial lol. Honestly I just turn the knob to where I like it 🤣. There’s most likely other videos on it already that are way more knowledgeable than I am on gyros.
