Woohoo! Exactly my reaction after it's done. Can't believe I finished watching the entire video. I just bought some power tools and I've been watching wood working video lately. This is one of the best!

Adding some power outlets hardly justifies calling it a "Smart Bed", but it is an amazing looking bed, even if the "beauty shots" at the end got an abrupt cut off. I think that is the first time I have seen dominos used without glue. A creative solution to alignment of the boards.

So beautiful !!! I am super impressed with your design skills!!!

Turned out amazing! Whenever I think of building something that big it's so tricky to think about future proofing and making sure it can be disassembled and move later. The result is fantastic. You still gotta talk about those nice lamps and the embedded switches.

That's exactly what I was thinking, I didn't fancy dragging that headboard tip my stairs in one piece. I had someone install all the electrical but the dimmers are from Buster and Punch and the lights are from Lowes.

Beautiful woodworking. I love your attention to detail. Oh, how I miss my workshop. Sold my home in 2010 and have been without a workshop ever since. Now, living in an apartment makes having a workshop extremely difficult, especially living on a social security pension.

Definitely respect all of it, your craftsmanship, the builds, the production. People get this man some more subs.

Mate this is stunning! Love the way you made the headboard. The French cleat is the way to go. I made a headboard a couple of years ago and it’s the prefect way to hang it. Absolutely loved the inlaid slats too! Well done, something to be very proud of.

Dad, this was amazing - thanks for sharing! Great work as always and an inspiration. Clever idea to make the slat grooves easier - when you were talking through it, all I could think about was how long and tedious it was going to be to do those with the straight edge and clamps - bravo!

I love your builds, I like to design my own projects too, but I always get great ideas from how you put things together. Usually practical and SOLID and at the same time attractive. I’m getting ready to o build out a bedroom climbing wall, bed, reading cubby, etc etc in my Little’s bedroom. His mom has nixed the skate ramp component. Shrug, probably a little tight on space anyway. Oh well.

Man that thing is beautiful. Great job. Definitely a huge project but you made it seem easy. So much attention to detail.

It looks really good! You could take your work to the next level by doing less glueing and more japanese style joinery. :) I think you have what it takes to make that work.

Wow! Amazing huge beautiful project. i know a handful of KZreadrs that would have run this one video you made, into a series lol. Every project in this one would prob be it's own video but seeing it all together is refreshing and I love it. By the title, never would have expected to see the headboard and nightstands being built too. Picked up a few tips and tricks from you :) Amazing work guys. Would you recommend using a French cleat for floating TV stands?

Very nice build. I wish I took this route instead of spending $4,000 on the bedroom suite my wife wanted. The only issue I have is we have a king twin adjustable bed.

Excellent video! What was the OSMO product you used on the oak? I love the whole OSMO range and regularly use OSMO TopOil High Solid Natural (3068) and Clear MATT (3058).

I love how I watch these vids and all I can think is "Screws and Glue go brrr" due to my lack of tools. Beautiful craftsman ship though.

next build put some small fans between the slats. youll need em when you get older.

Thankyou, for this and probably all my future white oak projects I’m using osmo raw . It’s white in the tin unlike poly x so it gives more of a natural look.

Wow. I wish I could diy. Would cost a lot to custom order.

For videos longer than 10 minutes try to split the videos in parts so the users can move between the key parts of the video..!

I think I should have said "cheaper" rather than cheap. its the cheapest lumber I can buy at my local hardwood store.

@@RadDadBuilds It’s ok I understand. Yeah, I kinda figured you may have meant to say that because it probably is compared to a lot of the other types of higher species,quality woods, but certainly not cheap by any standards especially with lumber prices these days.
