You'll reference Zajef, TGS, and KQM for theorycrafting stuff, and you'll aggregate and communicate that info in an accessible way for me, but then you will also give your own thoughts based on your experience with the character. I like to take in a range of perspectives from people I trust, and then form my own opinions. I sense that you approach things that way too.

I love that you shared this story of how your love for the game developed into this amazing content creation journey! Really love your content Jello definitely my favorite Genshin creator! Your vendetta against Diona and Wanderer are too funny 😂For me Diona was a character I wanted for sooo long cause I didn't have a good defensive unit for my Ayaka team (had to use Sayu as healer, but no grouping ugh). Once I got her I used her for one patch because then Kokomi reran, and then I got Diona c6 real fast all of a sudden 💀I still think she's one of the best pure defensive units in 4 man co-op tho. Just go full HP% with Raven Bow and tap E every 4 sec. Requires C2 ofc. I used to hate Wanderer too but he actually grew on me through events and the Archon quest. Now I don't set foot outside of town/abyss/domains without him on the team lol.

I discovered you last year and I truly respect your dedication. Really your attention even to four stars drew me to your account in the first place. But its the fact you really show passion and care in your videos every topic. I hope to see more from this channel in 2024 and beyond as long as you make these!

Now having a more objective view on builds and relative value of characters would be more helpful, but that is not the purpose here, CC is not just about meta. I found you on my Day 1 playing Genshin and I have loved your channel and its consistency ever since. Happy for you jello. I hope your channel keep growing. I do think you can still keep improving how you're presenting your content. You can try experimenting with more processed edited template videos. Or some text or some image for more visual to enchance your point in the video. Its especially important for pros and cons and some caveat for some characters (high er, need more vertical investement, etc). I do think the way how you communicating what youre thinking for the new chars is really well articulated and can easily understood tho. Especially how you reminding all your viewers of your biases to keep in mind to judge the characters. Keep the great work dude.

Hey Jello, I follow your channel for a while now quite consistently, always getting your vids on my recommended, lol. I am much like you, I played since 1.0 and I pulled every single character starting from 1.3 or so, caught up with reruns and ended up getting everyone around Inazuma arc and followed it since. I am a student so I kinda stopped paying for wishes and just opted out for BP + Welkin now because Im low on funds but surprisingly still managed to win many 50/50s and get every single character up until now, yet it seems like Chiori is the first one that I failed and wouldn't be able to get sadly, lol. Regardless, thank you for the guides, they've been, and still are, super useful! :)

Came across your channel a few months ago and you've quickly become one of my favourite Genshin content creators precisely because of your niche. Your content being based around the middle ground between F2P and low-mid spending for money investment and theorycrafting but not to the point of min max speedrunning is actually how I play the game too.

I have received an account review from you last September 2023 and the amount of growth I have accomplished was mainly because of your tips and techniques from the start. I originally did not want to have Nahida but ended up getting her, I don't dislike her, but the way you subtly convinced me to do so for my Kaveh and Wriothesley was a life changer, and I would do it all over again. In a span of 6 years, a lot has improved from my gameplay since I got to apply your logics and analyzations to the game itself. Such an underrated content creator for sure... :)

I am also looking up to you in perfecting my Raiden to the absolute best. I started Genshin last year November and you are one of the few genshin creators YT showed me up and seeing how dedicated of a Raiden main you are and still remaining dedicated even when there are other strong DPSs makes me want to be dedicated Raiden main as well. As a new player, I have collected my primos all the way from the start and never wished until Raiden came and with good luck was able to get her C2 and although wanted to pull for her weapon but the number of pimos i managed to get gave me 5 50/50s out which i lost two to Tighnari and Diluc so one can guess how much primos i might have collected and spend on Raiden's banner. And now i m on a hunt for primos again to get Kazuha to build absolute best hypercarry team. Artifacts farming is still on its way, my dear Raiden is unfortunately with shitty stats yet she carries me with all types of enemies in Tevyat. I never ever regretted getting her and will forever keep her in my main team.

You are my favourite informational Genshin creator and I appreciate your view on all the team comp and builds. Also love that you also do guides for characters that aren’t “meta” since my main dps is Klee n I rewatched your Klee guide over 10 times 😂 I fell in love with that lil girl as soon as I saw her in the main Quest and she is the reason I play Genshin. I appreciate your work man. Finally getting a better understanding of the game after 3 years of playing. There were a couple of teams I wanted to share, some are my most-used teams, others are crackpot teams just because. Serious teams: Freeze Ayaka: Ayaka/Layla/Kokomi/Furina | I don't have Shenhe, though I am considering pulling on her next rerun at your recommendation, and in the meantime Layla is a very comfortable pick since I prefer playing my Ayaka more on-field anyway, the only on-fielder as a mater of fact. While I could run Mono Cryo and drop Kokomi for Charlotte or drop the Hydros for Rosaria and Kazuha/Jean, I just hate that the assassin nun is a support and not a DPS. This is my most-used team by far for serious clearing because my most-invested character is Ayaka, and she performs best with a team like this. To my knowledge, haven't tested mono-Cryo for myself, I prefer more variation but worth doing at some point. Swirl Kazuha: Kazuha/Bennett/Xingqiu/(Flex) | Admittedly, the distance between my Freeze Ayaka and Swirl Kazuha is greater than it should be, and that's because my Kazuha isn't as invested as he could be. Artifact XP is pain. Typically for flex I run Shinobu if I'm serious for all the heals and swirls, while other times I run Chongyun cuz this is the bois' team. Bennett is my other most-invested character, and having a team that Ayaka doesn't use Bennett allows me to use him on the other side. Kazuha may be the focus of the team, but Bennett is the spirit of the team, since I built him so that I can pivot from playing him as support to playing as DPS if the situation called for it. That level of flexibility saved a few runs. Crackpot teams: Roleplay team: Omni-Traveler(Aether)/Ayaka/Bennett/Layla | (Read: Shipping) The team I play the most for when I'm questing. Not serious but invested enough to be useable for most content. I run my Traveler with high ER with Emblem because I'm too lazy to have a build for every element, and just reduced his builds down to common denominators. Liyue Lovers: Xiangling/Chongyun/Xingqiu/Yun Jin | If the roleplay team is my A team, this is my B team. No real reason, I have invested into these because I like them and I like them together. Also for shipping purposes. (Xiangling and Xingqiu are both C6). It actually kind of works, there's a strategy to it. Xiangling is the main DPS here (Probably Hu Tao would fit better technically, but this isn't for meta and I still don't have Hu Tao), so everyone else funnels their stuff that affects Normal Attack into her, and then Xiangling goes to town. It's a fun team, for me anyway. Best Girls: Ayaka/Furina/Noelle/Xiangling | (Read: Account Heroines) These are the most impactful female characters on my account, by far. The most reliable, and I have strong memories for every single one. Noelle was my first, and she allowed me to coast through Mondstadt and Liyue. I also got Xiangling during this time, and she took the damage I could deal to another level, this was all before Inazuma. I decided to make some changes when I got to Inazuma, and Inazuma made me regret that decision. I remember having to pull Noelle back out just to fight Raiden. I pulled out Xiangling just for the final fight in the Tatara Tales questline, pairing her with Razor and Ayaka and barely managing it. Of course I got Ayaka, and she became my main. She became the face of every single fight I got into, and every victory since. Furina was a little different. She had the same effect that Xiangling had before Inazuma, but just even more. Right out of the box, C0, level 50, no artifacts, she pulled her weight like Kokomi would invested. I was blown away by Furina, and I just had to put her in teams, she was just that good. I've recently went back, and rebuilt Xiangling and Noelle to my current standards, Noelle+Furina being cracked (Noelle is C6). Ayaka and Xiangling being as strong as they were already, weren't no slouches either. If I forget what a Domain has, I'll bring these girls. I can't go wrong with them since they carried me through the roughest parts of the game. Nilou Bloom: Nilou/Furina/Kaveh/Yaoyao | I don't know what it is about this team. I need to use this team a lot more, but I love this team nevertheless. There was a Sumeru one-time Domain that I just couldn't beat, think it was the one with the yellow fire on the ground that recommended Hyperbloom. Yeah, tried that, my Hyperbloom didn't cut it. If I remember right it was either Hyperfridge with Ayaka/Furina/Yaoyao/Shinobu, or Hyperbloom with Tighnari/Furina/Yaoyao/Shinobu. Pulled out this team, worked like a dream. I really like Kaveh as a character, and I think I got him to work. I need to test this more before it becomes a serious team. Four Seasons: Kokomi/Yoimiya/Chiori/Ayaka | Currently in theory only, but I thought I'd share since you had something to do with it. And that was giving me reasons to use Yoimiya. I started to invest into her, and I was far more impressed by Yoimiya than I ever was with Eula. Didn't really have a team for her but I did whip her out when a Ruin Drake was present instead of Ganyu as a result. I also may be a bit of a weeb which is why all four are Inazuma girls. My logic was rainy springs, summer festivals, and then Chiori's skill. What better character to switch to off of Chiori's skill than my strongest character? Fall moves to winter anyway, so it kinda just made sense to set up the team that way. Also, I'm really stupid about colors (red/yellow/cyan/blue), so if you notice a theme, that's why. Thanks for all your hard work!

@@I.disagreejust do the artifact farming route until 99 and go over the limit by being in the same region of tatarasuna where it is okay to collect everything which has a lot of iron chunks. Somehow feels faster and more efficient than mining iron chunks.

It's interesting we both started around the same time (for me it was the Albedo banner in 2.4), and I've stayed as a Welkin player the whole way through, with a few BPs in the beginning, rever refreshed resin either. I have nowhere near every character but I do feel like I have more than I will ever need really. In the last few months I finally feel like there is literally nothing the abyss can throw at me that I can't easily crush, but it also has started allowing me the freedom to choose who I *feel* like playing, instead of who I *have* to play to 36*, it's quite a nice feeling. All this to say I feel like you're one of the more relatable guide makers out there to me. Not hardcore F2P playing Elden Ring version of abyss (I'm a masher at heart too), but also not a total resin-refreshing artifact whale who has 45+ cv on every piece. It's understandable you're refreshing more now, since you're something of a "horizontal whale" for the channel 😂

i appreciate your work jello because i have the same goal as you! i would like to get every character and build them too to an extent where every single one is usable. my account will take longer than yours because i only spend with the BP and Welkin, so sometimes i have to skip a character here and there (I go for weapons only once in a blue moon) and youre a great inspiration to me :)

I think the “would build again” percentage is a bit high, but really just shows how much you love the game. 😆 I don’t mind at all that characters are liked or disliked based on design. Ultimately it is a game and everyone should play in a way that is fun. It doesn’t all have to be raw efficiency.

I'm just happy content creators like you exist. People take this game entirely too seriously, almost like it's an esport, and that's not what the game is about. For me it's just about kicking back, relaxing and indulging yourself in the world of Teyvat with your favorite characters. Yes, the game is not perfect, and there are rough edges that REALLY need sharpening, but when you look past that you see a fun game with lots of potential.

Raiden + Eula still my favorite combination. My 2 top characters on my account, they hit like trucks compared to rest of my roster. My Yelan is at a solid 3rd place for me.

The story of you and your wife playing Genshin together gives me the fuzzies because this how me and my boyfriend bonded and got closer. Genshin couples are the sweetest.

The reason why I decided to build every single of my characters was that early on I was struggling in Abyss. A lot. Every time new Abyss cycle started, I looked up the guides and realized I don't have characters they recommend. Then I started building those characters but then new Abyss cycle started and surprise, completely different characters were needed. By that time I was struggling to beat even floor 9 and I hated Abyss like nothing else. And from that came my decision to will build all my characters just so they're all combat ready and when a new team is needed, I can just put them into a party and use them. And that's exactly what I did. It took me two years, I don't have all characters in the game but I have 90% of them including all 4*s and now every single of them is level 90 with at least 8/8/8 talents (yes I leveled up even talents considered worthless) and when I decide I want to try out a team, I can just snap them in. When I caught up for the first time, I had average time two weeks per character, and that included me starting from the very beginning of the game. But I also managed to do it without significant spending, though I have to admit that Welkin and Battlepass did help both with acquiring new characters and with getting them up to speed.

I pulled for eula and didnt have a good claymore. I knew i wanted hunters but didnt know if i should pull her weapon. You said reed sea was probably the best all around claymore to grab because it was only slightly below broken pines. You recommended reed sea due to verdatility of use on more charcaters convinced me to get it. Eula slaps with reed sea and im not mad i pulled it. Nice recommendation.

I tried building all characters at least ascend them to 80/80 purely for the free pulls before I got burned out, and let me tell you, the old BP that has a quest of getting like 100 or something amount of regional specialties weee amazing help, I memorized the path to get like different types of them from both liyue and mondstadt hence I had a lot of stockpiles and when I was set enough to be able to build random stupid stuff I was able to just farm the boss materials and talents for them, it was great but time consuming, so it made sense that they removed that weekly BP mission

Therefore, other guides are not so helpful if any character is maxed out and has its signature weapon. Please go on doing what you do.

There is a fridge team with Ganyu which is amazing for multitarget (even dual) and made me pass a lot of abyss 12 rooms flawlessly and is very very fun to play. The team is Ganyu, Kokomi, Kazuha and Nahida. Kokomi with an EM build to make more bloom damage, and Kazuha to bring the seeds, Ganyu raindrops and mobs together and Ganyu with a permafrost set and high ER, to add more damage to the team. Once you got all this working with nahida tags and kokomi jellyfish, you can switch again to Kokomi and throw charged attacks and make everthing explode. On this team Ganyu is better than Ayaka and Shenhe,

I got keqing too on my first 10 pull. From the standard banner. I did 40 pulls on standard before a player joined my world and told me to pull on limited banners not on standard. 😂 Congrats man, I'm a subscriber for a year now.

For Sayu teams try a burgeon setup with Furina, Dehya, Nahida. Lots of fun rolling around with interruption resistance, and excellent damage even with all the characters at CO with 4star weapons

Same here! I'm pretty much a character collector and completionist. I've got all the in-game playable characters up to Chiori and build everyone. Everyone have: -Lv 80 or higher (All 5 stars are on Lv 90) -Their own Lv 90 weapon -Usable talents Lv 6-10 -Their own maxed out Artifact sets which compatible for their kit My strongest teams are Itto Mono Geo (Itto C6-Sign, Zhongli C2, Gorou C6, Chiori C0) and Nilou Superbloom (Nilou C3-Sign, Nahida C2-Sign, Kokomi C0, Kirara C2). I bought BPs and Welkins. Sometimes I do resin refresh too (usually only the 50 primos one and rarely the 100 primos one), for more grinding. I rarely have Mora savings in my account. Same goes for EXP books, talent books and Mystic Ores. No savings at all. So sometimes I just get jealous at people who have so much Mora but didn't spend it at all. I can say it's very hard to do and keeping up with the amount of primos and resins we get. Since I'm not a giga whale (my only limited character C6 is Itto), there's a limit to the power of each character. 😂

I'm glad I didn't skip out on Itto like I did, three times over, on Yoimiya, and the two really are two of a kind for me. Genki Inazumans with big, bouncy braided-rope bows on their backs. They're just so peppy and uplifting, like two sides of the child-like spirit coin. Only regret is both their arms are so spindly.
